    Vote for Nick Augustine for Shady Shores, Texas Town Council, Place 2

    in Politics

    Keeping an eye on the past while focusing on the present and future, we can ensure Shady Shores, Texas will be a great place to buy a home and raise a family.

    If elected to Town Council, my votes will be in the direction of:

    (1) Spending cuts and maintaining our savings and assets for the future;

    (2) Manageable growth that increases our land values and preserves our charm;

    (3) Increased resident communication and involvement in future decision-making.

    Voting for me, Nick Augustine, is a smart choice because I am educated, available, and interested in adding a new sense of balance and viewpoints to our council with my volunteer background and experiences.

    I operate a local marketing and public relations business, which allows a flexible schedule to talk with residents anytime they give me a call or want to meet to talk about their concerns. Being on Council requires a great deal of work and I have the time to get it all done.

    I hope to see you all at the Candidates Debate on Monday, April 20th at 7:00 p.m.

    Volunteer Experience:

    Chair, Town of Shady Shores Citizens’ Advocacy Committee on Revenue
    Appointed Board Member of Alumni Association Board of Directors at The John Marshall Law School
    Chair, Government Affairs Committee, Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce
    President, Kiwanis Club of Woodridge
    Law Student Intern, Milwaukee County Office of the District Attorney

    Education

    Marquette University, Bachelors of Arts degree earned 1999

    The John Marshall Law School, Juris Doctor degree earned 2002

    SF #176 – To Vote or Not to Vote

    in Motivation

    To Vote or Not to Vote - that is the question.  Is it true, as Dan Rather states, “Only votes talk, everything else walks”?  Or can you give voice to political questions without voting and have it still mean something?  With the 2014 Midterms boasting the lowest voter turnout since World War II (36.4%), it appears that a few people are deciding the direction your government takes while the rest believe it is a waste of time to even try.  What do you think?

    Join Mordant & McFall for a non-politicized debate on whether To Vote or Not to Vote.  Is it better to get out of the house and exercise your hard-won American right…?  Or, can you, by not voting, make enough of a statement to change the suffering system of American politics.  Your Level Up Guys go back and forth on this - both with enough passion for their beliefs to throw in some playful “mudslinging.”  All this for your entertainment and edification.

    So...Enjoy!

    Power is in the Pen, the Vote and in the Money

    in Politics Progressive

    Power is in the pen. Power is in the vote. Power is in the money. Goals to achieve either one of these in abundance or any combination of these in abundance reaps rewards to the holders. Each day brings another opportunity to do the necessary things to be the change sorely needed in America. Politicians today feel undue respect toward leaders of other countries, yet have not problem calling the President of the United States a lie, to be heard by the ears of the world. Yet the same politicians can say boldly, this President is not respected by world leaders. Ignorant double talk is corroding the fabric of the America so many have died for. We have to have power to be heard. We have to unite our efforts to exert strength to make necessary changes. Create the power you can and use that power for the good of a better America. America is at her best, when good people participate in the power of the pen, the vote and or the money solution.
