Lisa Arie, Vista Caballo, How to Horse Train Leaders

    in Goals

Lisa Arie created Vista Caballo as a different way to live; a new sensibility; a new consciousness.
The horses are extraordinary, natural leaders. Lisa learned more about leadership in a herd of horses than she learned in corporate America. She has dedicated her life to sharing that experience with others.
Located on the Western slope of the Rocky Mountains, Vista Caballo works with pioneers, adventurers, innovative leaders and high achievers who are actively seeking the next level of their evolution; those who have achieved material success, yet find themselves unfulfilled ... find us when they find themselves ready to move from seeking outward fulfillment to discovering it inwardly.
Lisa says, "It's something you have to come here and feel and when you do,  you never lose it and it enriches your life beyond anything imaginable or describable."

Los ltimos das de Vendaval, el caballo de paso fino que se volvi carretillero

    in Radio

    Las2orillas

Making Waves and Positive Change in the World of Work

    in Business

The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, from 7-8 pm ET (4-5 pm PT).

Last week we talked about how to legally leverage social media in the recruitment process, and this week we’re going to talk about how to make waves and initiate positive change.

We should all step up and be the ones to initiate positive change in the world of work, instilling “wave-making” behaviors in others within their organization. By reinforcing our continuous desire to contribute and make a difference on an individual level, wave-making bridges the gap between that desire and the actions necessary to realize bigger changes and improve employee engagement.

Change can be big or small. It is the act of stepping up that makes all the difference, as well as the ripple effect on those around.

3 Questions to Ask If You’re Considering a Hot Tub
Here are three questions that will help you make the most informed choice.

Have You Chosen a Location for the Hot Tub?
Deciding where you will put an in-home hot tub is a step that many people forget. Think through variables like access to your home, ease of use, privacy and safety.

Are You Interested In a Compact Model Or a Large Party Tub?
Focusing on the appropriate size will save you time and maybe even money. There is no point in buying more hot tub than you really need.

Do You Have a Clear Budget In Mind?
Defining a budget ahead of time is the best way to limit your options. Outline the features that are most important and look for those within a specified price range.

To encourage local residents to check out the benefits of using a hot tub to help improve their overall health and well-being, Carddine Spas is providing free test soaks at all their showrooms.

Close-Up Talk Radio spotlights Dr. Ines Roe of Alta Vista Life Coaching

    in Motivation

Carlisle, PA – Like a kaleidoscope, women’s lives are constantly changing. Indeed, women entering their midlife often experience a great deal of disruption, but this period of transition also offers these women the perfect opportunity to truly reinvent their lives.

Dr. Ines Roe is the founder of Alta Vista Life Coaching, a coaching practice dedicated to supporting women experiencing midlife transition to rebalance their lives.

“What I love about coaching is partnering with people,” says Dr. Roe. “It really is about working with people’s potential rather than focusing on the negative. Coaches support individuals as they figure out what they want and inspire them to summon the courage to go after it.”

A psychologist for over 20 years, Dr. Roe intends to transition full time to coaching in her retirement. She says while therapy is more about diagnosis and disorder, coaching is more about wellness. People are self-directed and take responsibility for their decisions.

“I’m in the same place as my clients in many respects,” says Dr. Roe. “I’ve had a long career but I’m looking toward making changes.”

When navigating life disruptions such as retirement, divorce or loss, Dr. Roe says it’s essential to be mindful of what holds us back and partner with those elements to move forward. Dr. Roe has developed a series of e-courses for clients to explore and digest at their own pace.

“I’m hoping people will use the material I provide as a springboard to decide how they want to craft and reinvent their life,” says Dr. Roe. “If they want more connection as an accountability partner I can be that for them, but ultimately it’s about empowering people to do things on their own. I’m here to provide a path for them.”
