I am excited to have Monique from Brown Vegan coming on the show. Even though I became a vegetarian in 2013, I am now in a phase where I want to transition to becoming a vegan. Therefore, I wanted Monique to come on the show and share her journey. I found Monique on YouTube I believe last year. Her videos are great especially for those who are struggling with giving up certain foods where they can substitute them with other plant based options. I also enjoy the fact that she has a family which is helpful for those with children and/or a spouse. Yes, children can be vegan too! Of course I would suggest checking with a pediatrician and/or nutritionist as well, especially one who will be encouraging of this lifestyle with children (many of them promote meat and dairy diets).
The Bible speaks on how our bodies are the temples. I believe this also includes what we put inside of it. I do not believe that we should just put anything in our bodies, but to be conscious of what we are putting in it. This is not a show to force veganism down anyone's throats, but based on how the world is going, I strongly believe we should try to avoid and/or limit a lot of the foods we are used to eating.
I hope this show will encourage those who are considering a vegan lifestyle or those who have already begun to embark on this journey. I am looking forward to learning about more options and ideas that Monique has. She has a lot of resources on her website as well, which I will place below.

ABOUT GLEN MERZER: Glen began his career in book-writing as co-author, with Howard Lyman, of Mad Cowboy (Scribner, 1998) and No More Bull! (Scribner, 2005). Merzer is also co-author of Unprocessed (2011), by Chef AJ; Food over Medicine (BenBella Books, 2013), with Pam Popper; and Better Than Vegan (BenBella Books, 2013), with Chef Del Sroufe. Merzer has had dozens of productions of his plays staged throughout the country, including two productions that toured to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Last week's study of Psalms of Lament presented an ever-present element of hope in God. The laments were not voicing despair, but were honestly acknowledging life's pain while anticipating God's rescue. Similarly, this week's focus on Psalms of Thanksgiving embraces both the celebration of God's goodness and the difficult life circumstances in which believers experience that goodness.
Yes, life is challenging and has seasons of pain. Some pain we bring upon ourselves through sinful choices. But plenty of additional setbacks come our way through no fault of our own. In every situation, God is there. He forgives use when we sin and repent. He compassionately responds to our deepest emotional needs. His love and mercy never fail. For all of that, we have reason to voice our thanks.
What kind of food do you eat? Are you super healthy? Would you like the possibility of being so?
We all know we're all unique. We also are made of the same stuff in terms of energy, Light, atoms, and the like, yet some people spur themselves on while others linger about. This can be explained by soul age, conditioning, astrology, background, consciousness, and so many other factors.
Let's also take a look at food intake and how that affects us, plus our global addiction to doing things however we do them, whether this method supports us or not. What are any of us afraid of? How do we deal with that disquiet? How can you benefit?
