Susan Daffron aka The Book Consultant (http://www.TheBookConsultant.com) is the president of Logical Expressions, Inc. a book and software publishing company based in Sandpoint, Idaho. She is the award-winning author of 12 books (10 of which she published) and a contributor to 4 other books. The first book she published was Vegan Success: Scrumptious Healthy Vegan Recipes for Busy People (http://www.VeganSuccess.com).
Susan is also the President and Founder of the National Association of Pet Rescue Professionals (http://www.NAPRP.com) an association that offers tools and information to help people working in humane organizations save more companion animal lives.
Susan spends most of her time writing, laying out books in InDesign, or taking her five dogs out for romps in the forest. She also teaches people how to write and publish profitable client-attracting books and puts on the Self-Publishers Online conference (http://www.SelfPublishersOnlineConference.com) every May.

Lee Ann Thill is known to the DOC as a diabetes blogger and leader of diabetes community art projects, but since transitioning to a vegan lifestyle in 2013, her work as an activist and academic has been shifting and expanding. She has been exploring the relationships between veganism, intersectional justice, art, and diabetes.
Lee Ann has achieved a new level of health and happiness following a vegan lifestyle. In addition to her academic inquiry, she is excited to answer questions about going vegan, address common misunderstandings about veganism, and offer support to people who are interested in transitioning.
She is a registered board-certified art therapist and Pennsylvania licensed professional counselor, doctoral student, professor of art therapy, artist, and volunteer with Peace Advocacy Network and Catskill Animal Sanctuary. Lee Ann has had type 1 diabetes since 1978.

ABOUT GLEN MERZER: Glen began his career in book-writing as co-author, with Howard Lyman, of Mad Cowboy (Scribner, 1998) and No More Bull! (Scribner, 2005). Merzer is also co-author of Unprocessed (2011), by Chef AJ; Food over Medicine (BenBella Books, 2013), with Pam Popper; and Better Than Vegan (BenBella Books, 2013), with Chef Del Sroufe. Merzer has had dozens of productions of his plays staged throughout the country, including two productions that toured to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Three of his plays have been published by Samuel French. Merzer is currently at work on a children’s book and his next novel.
So many people are needlessly sick. So much land is wasted on growing food for animals that are then killed, bringing the energy of fear and death into the very food that carnivores eat. Even plant-based diets can be negativized if people growing the food are angry, resentful, and the like.
