TAX tax,n. A monetary charge imposed by the government on persons, entities, transactions, or property to yield public revenue. • Most broadly, the term embraces all governmental impositions on the person, property, privileges, occupations, and enjoyment of the people, and includes duties, imposts, and excises. Although a tax is often thought of as being pecuniary in nature, it is not necessarily payable in money. [Cases: Internal Revenue 3001; Taxation 1, 856.1, 906.11, 931, 1201. C.J.S. Internal Revenue § 2; Taxation §§ 1–3, 5–6, 1693, 1783–1785, 1792, 1990, 1993.] — tax,vb.
“Taxes are the enforced proportional contributions from persons and property, levied by the state by virtue of its sovereignty for the support of government and for all public needs. This definition of taxes, often referred to as ‘Cooley's definition,’ has been quoted and indorsed, or approved, expressly or otherwise, by many different courts. While this definition of taxes characterizes them as ‘contributions,’ other definitions refer to them as ‘imposts,’ ‘duty or impost,’ ‘charges,’ ‘burdens,’ or ‘exactions'; but these variations in phraseology are of no practical importance.” 1 Thomas M. Cooley, The Law of Taxation§ 1, at 61–63 (Clark A. Nichols ed., 4th ed. 1924).
WAR CONTRIBUTION war contribution.Int'l law. An extraordinary payment imposed by an occupying power on thenpopulation of an occupied territory during wartime. — Often shortened to contribution.
We haven't done an unscripted show since July, so we figured it was time for another one! In Episode 124 of Fireside Chat, we spend the first few minutes chatting about the newly relaunched TheCapitol.PN and how it compares to last year's version. We also talk about THE NEW CATCHING FIRE TV SPOT which debuted online tonight on Walmart's Facebook page. And then, in lieu of a planned agenda, we spend the rest of the evening pulling all sorts of thought-provoking and crazy topics out of our trusty grab bag/topic cornucopia. If you'd like to submit a topic or share your thoughts on TheCapitol.PN and the new TV spot, just leave a comment on our website. Update! Topics we pulled out tonight: - What would the characters from the trilogy dress up as for Halloween (if they celebrated)? - If you could swap two members of the cast (and have them switch roles), who would they be? - If any place on Earth could be used for a filming location, what would have been the best place to shoot? - Buttercup is now orange (like he should be)!
As the Rhym-o-graphy moves foward I'll keep it in the best chronological order possible though there were over extra productive weeks and months where I've made a cluster of material that centered around one point in my human developement.
For this one we'll play some later joints but we won't be discussing them and I'll yack it up a bit about bumper sticker rhetoric and why we don't have that luxary.
I posted a fun little video with pictures previewing this show.
If you'd like to hear the first song with better audio quality and see some fun pictures...

Ronald C.Tobin Author of A Ruby for Victor Website: www.ronaldctobin.com
We will be talking to Ronald C. Tobin about his book, A Ruby for Victor, an unsual vampire story. Ronald is a member of the Arizona Authors Association and the Phoenix Writers Club and a professional member of the Society of Southwestern Authors. He recently completed my first round of courses at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and is now a certified hypnotherapist.
Ronald stated, "The Plaz Seschni series is overall Science Fiction, maybe some Urban Fantasy, with a few Horror elements. When it comes to fiction, my primary genres are Science Fiction and Fantasy. I have nothing against the Horror genre, but I don’t think having vampires in a book makes it horror."
From the Historical Information: After nearly twenty five standard years of research there was a breakthrough, the one that led to the establishment of Plaz Seschni. Dr. Nestri Vas Juliuan developed what had been called Serum XVF-1065-VB-9099. After a series of near successful experiments, Dr. Vas Juliuan was certain he had the right combination. So certain, in fact, that he made himself the subject for that critical experiment. Suffice it to say it worked, and Order Ruby came into being at that moment.
After becoming a vampire, Dr. Vas Juliuan continued his research for another 1125 Terran years, hoping to perfect the serum and overcome what he regarded as shortcomings of the transformation. Ultimately he despaired of the effort. Never liking the notion of having to drink blood and not being able to walk unprotected in the daylight, he ended his days by walking out of a spaceship airlock without a suit.
