Thomas Ruskin--Chips Are No Guarantee That Your Credit Card/Identity Is Safe #28

    in Current Events

Former NYPD Detective Thomas Ruskin joined us today for an update on identity theft trends. Chipped credit and debit cards were supposed to be the cure all to credit card skimmers and scanners that have become rampant. However, my brand new chipped card was cloned and used in a grocery store in Illinois. To my bank's credit they caught it after two relatively small charges. I was sitting in a restaurant in New Orleans when the crime struck and I received a text informing me of the deed. Hopefully more secure measures will be implemented soon.

And most importantly go to KeepMyID.org and use the value code FSN2.

    Gender identity

    in Lifestyle

So now a days if you are a man you can claim that you identify as a woman and use the women restroom. We have now come to a point as a nation that we award a man for being "courageous" and calling him "brave and stunning" for turning himself into a woman. And when said guy identifies as a woman you must refer to him as "her" or else be labeled a misogynist.

It's things like this that is making America the shithole that it is now. And now we have teachers at the kindergarden level asking kids if they identify as a boy or girl. They don't want to call a girl a girl or a boy a boy for that might offend them if they don't identify as the sex they are born as.

This now makes people question their "gender identity". "I'm I really a boy....or am I a girl?" If you can't tell what sex you are by looking at your genitals then there's a problem. And that's why we are going to tackle this issue tonight. We will be talking about a few people that have "gender identity" issues and try to examine why these people are having these issues.

So set back....relax....and enjoy The Jason Echolls Podcast!!

Introduction and Testimony: Healing and Restoration for a Fractured Identity

    in Spirituality

Many who come for Restoration Prayer Ministry do not know the extent of their prayer needs.  They aren't necessarily hiding anything; they simply are not aware of their root issues.  Many do not know that their identity has been fractured by trauma and abuse until they begin sharing memories with a safe person.  Intelligent little children have an amazing ability to fracture their identity in order to store overwhelming painful memories in different parts.  It might be decades before these parts begin to surface and ask for healing. Hear a survivor share how shocked she was to learn that her identity was fractured.

A Whole New World - Breaking Free From Identity

    in Spirituality

Many if not most people consider that their identity is solid, clear and fixed. In fact, our  identity is one of most cherished of human concerns and attachments. Identity is very important to us. Who others are means a lot, too. However, given the experience we are born into an identity, told who we are by our parents, family and greater culture, and there is very little control we have over what our identity is.

Until some of us come to an understanding that identity is not fixed, that it can and does change and we have the right and means to change it on purpose. Though our society and varioius cultural norms might have a hard time coping with a change we make in our identities, that in itself is not a reason to argue against it. If a person has a reason to make any changes to their identity, that is up to them.

Identity is made up of many different things: our species, biological sex, our outward expression of gender, groups we identify with and feel attached to, our age, even our names. I have experienced identity issues throughout my life, early on because of how my body looked and how others treated me for being fat and - in my eyes - looking more like a girl. Later, I gained clarity on what race I was, and what that meant to not be white like the boy on "Family Affair," even though I thought I looked like him. After puberty, I learned about diverse views on sexual identity, and wavered (to this day) in between a few of them. Now, it matters only to the degree that I'm at ease in my existence, flexible from moment to moment about who I say that I am, and what I consider myself. It's my choice, after all.

The Night Time Fiasco Welcomes Clark's Secret Identity!

    in Rock Music

Clark's Secret Identity is an experimental rock band that is hard to associate with any certain subgenre. While predominately influenced by modern progressive rock, the band also incorporates the sounds of art rock, post rock, and even hints of doom metal and punk. Despite these labels, CSI strives to connect personally to the listener rather than distance themselves as many experimental bands do, and the songs display a penchant for tightness, cohesion, and accessibility.

Clark's Secret Identity was formed in early 2014 when drummer Matthew Bankes posted an ad seeking musicians for an original rock project with a progressive rock feel. The ad was answered by guitarist Shane Anthony, a classically trained songwriter fresh out of college. The two struck an immediate bond over common musical interests and started jamming and discussing ideas. Bassist Keith Horning, a longtime friend and former bandmate of Matthew’s, joined the project and the core trio was complete. In 2015, Clark's Secret Identity decided to pull four songs from their growing song list to record for their debut EP. Recorded and engineered by Odin's Court guitarist Matt Brookins at D2C Studios, Clark's Secret Identity's debut EP was released on December 22, 2015 as a digital download.
