The 12th episode of MCS Live and our eighth Faceoff pregame show brought to you by Beast from the Northeast!
Co-hosts Justin Soderberg and Greg Celona will touch on UMass Lowell River Hawks hockey and preview Saturday night's Hockey East quarterfinals matchup between the River Hawks and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.
The River Hawks have been off for a week after earning a first-round bye for finishing the regular season in fouth place. It was a different story for the Fighting Irish who played a three-game series against the UMass Minutemen last weekend, including the longest every NCAA hockey game on Friday night.
Additionally, Justin and Greg will discuss (with help from Mike McMahon of College Hockey News) UMass Lowell's PairWise ranking and if the River Hawks will return to the NCAA Tournament for a fourth-straight year.
MCS Live Faceoff will air from 5:00-6:00pm live from the Tsongas Center lobby. Justin and Greg will take questions and comments via Twitter and Facebook.
Our next broadcast of MCS Live: Faceoff will be prior to the Hockey East Finals on Saturday, March 21. If the River Hawks make a return trip to the Hockey East Finals, MCS Live will talk River Hawk hockey. If not, we will preview the teams fighting for a title.
Billy & MO talk Notre Dame Men's and Women's hoops with Notre Dame Insider Todd Burlage and talk NBA with NBA Guru Jim Brighters from the Sports Network. Follow along or contact the show at www.thebssportsshow.com
John is joined by Dan and Jared to discuss Syracuse's big upset at Notre Dame, the Orange's non-existent NCAA Tournament prospects and of course, beer.
TONIGHT'S SHORT TAKE WILL BE ABOUT A SPECIAL PEEVE OF MINE: THE PERILS OF DINING OUT. AND NO, IN THIS SHORT OPINION PIECE I'M NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT THE RESTAURANT OR THE WAIT STAFF. LET'S JUST ASSUME THAT THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT, THE SERVICE IS GREAT AND THE AMBIANCE OF THE LAYOUT AND ACCOUTREMENTS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT ARE SUPERB. WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT IS THE BEHAVIOR, PRESENTATION AND ATTITUDE OF SOME OF THE DINERS WHO RUIN A NICE EVENING FOR EVERYONE. I KNOW THAT ALL OF US HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS.
SO JUST IMAGINE....A GREAT RESTAURANT FILLED WITH NICE, WELL MANNERED AND PRESENTABLE PEOPLE WHO RECOGNIZE MY RIGHT AND YOURS NOT TO BE THROWN INTO "GRAND CENTRAL STATION AT RUSH HOUR". IF YOU'RE IN A RUSH THERE ARE PLENTY OF DECENT FAMILY ORIENTED FACILITIES THAT MEET YOUR NEEDS AS WELL AS UNTOLD FAST FOOD ESTABLISHMENTS. THERE ARE ALSO MANY PLACES THAT ESPECIALLY CATER TO KIDS, SO CONSIDER THAT AS WELL.
AS RODNEY DANGERFIELD SAID: "I DON'T GET NO RESPECT". YOU NEVER WANT TO LEAVE A GOOD RESTAURANT FEELING THAT WAY.
THE SHOW WILL ACTUALLY START AT 9:02 EASTERN. I HOPE YOU'LL JOIN ME. DINING OUT, JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE THINGS WE DO IN LIFE AND LIVING IT.
Cloverleaf Radio's hosts, The Host with the Most Jimmy Falcon and Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling's Gremlina welcome Animator and Artist, Darlie Brewster, Known for her work on such shows and movies as "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" "ParaNorman" "Ferngully: The Last Rainforrest" "The Prince of Egypt" and SO much more! JOIN US!
TONIGHT NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE WILL BEGIN A SERIES OF SHORT DISCOURSES (NO MORE THAT 15 MINUTES) FOR USE ON DAYS WHEN A REGULAR SHOW IS NOT PROGRAMMED. SHORT AND SWEET: THE THEME WILL BE IMAGINE.......THE REMAINDER TO BE FILLED IN NIGHTLY
IMAGINE IF WE TOOK CHARGE OF OUR OWN LIVES AND TOOK OWNERSHIP OF OUR COUNTRY. IMAGINE THE POWER IT WOULD GIVE US AND HOW IT COULD MAKE THE POLITICIANS TAKE NOTICE. JUST IMAGINE, THEN APPLY THE WILLPOWER. AND IF YOU ARE A BELIEVER, GOD WILL HELP. JUST IMAGINE. SEE YOU TONIGHT AT NINE (ET).
YOUR CLUE TO THE EXACT TOPIC IS IN THE PICTURE
TONIGHT'S SHORT TAKE WILL BE DEVOTED TO FATHERS AND SONS. IN TODAY'S CRAZY WORLD, IT'S EASY FOR DAD TO GET WRAPPED UP IN WORK AND THEIR OWN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES WITH THE RESULT BEING A YOUNG BOY FEELING LEFT OUT. HAVING LOST MY DAD AT AN EARLY AGE, I KNOW VERY WELL WHAT NOT HAVING A FATHER CAN FEEL LIKE ALTHOUGH I WAS VERY BLESSED TO HAVE A VERY SPECIAL MOTHER. SO LET'S IMAGINE FOR A FEW MOMENTS..........IMAGINE HOW MUCH BETTER LIFE CAN BE FOR BOTH FATHERS AND SONS WHEN THEY SHARE LIFE TOGETHER. AND IMAGINE WHAT THOSE WHO DON'T ARE FEELING.
AMERICA HAS FAR TOO MANY FAMILIES WITHOUT A FATHER, NOT THROUGH DEATH OR DISASTER, BUT THROUGH SELFISHNESS AND LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY. IMAGINE IF WE CAN CHANGE THAT: IMAGINE WHAT A BETTER PLACE IT CAN BE.
SEE YOU TONIGHT AT NINE.
On this episode of Wolfdog Radio, we will cover the 16th annual Florida Lupine Association 2015 Rendezvous! The Florida Lupine Association (FLA) is the only wolf/wolfdog organization in the United States, and possibly the world. FLA’s mission is to provide information and education about the wolfdog; to track legal issues as they pertain to wolfdogs; to interact and collaborate with other wolfdog and animal (rescue and non-rescue) agencies, networks, and clubs; and to advance the interests and the responsible ownership of wolfdogs.
Every year, FLA hosts what is known as the "Rendezvous" where wolfdog owners, breeders, and enthusiasts come from all over the country to attend the Rendezvous for the unique opportunity to interact with other wolfdog people and their animals. With our special guests, we will explore the major events that took place the major events that took place over this exciting weekend, provide answers to some of the most common questions, and get a deeper look into what goes on behind the scenes at the Rendezvous.
Some of our guests and topics include: Jody Haynes, President of FLA; Kim Miles, Co-Education and Member Coordinator, who will speak on the phenotyping presentation and share details about the dog show, how each of the categories are judged and weighted; two first-time dog show judges, Natasha Woodall and Megan Lindsey; owner of the grand prize winner of the dog show, Kim Kapes, President of wolfdog sanctuary In Harmony With Nature; highlights from the auction; and a few members within community will also join us to share their experiences at the Rendezvous this year.? Are you thinking about Homeschooling but you are afraid? We did several speeches in Florida. Homeschooling parents have some of the same issues that the rest of us have. Our Perfectionism gets in the way of most everything thing we do.
Let's discuss some of the tools we have to help you accomplish your dream of educating your children.
I can't wait to tell you about our experiences at this conference. We will be in Virginia in a few weeks. Check out our event section on our website. http://www.flylady.net/d/flyladys-events/
COMMON CORE IS SWEEPING THE COUNTRY, LARGELY BY EDICT FROM SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS AND THEIR POLITICAL CRONIES. BUT BLOWBACK IS GAINING STEAM AS MORE AND MORE PARENTS LOOK AT THE PROGRAM AND ITS CURRICULUM AND FIND IT WANTING. SO WHAT IS BEST FOR OUR KIDS AND WHAT CAN WE DO TO MAKE SURE THEIR BEST INTERESTS ARE WHAT IS DONE?
WE ARE PLEASED TO HAVE MEG NORRIS OF GEORGIA AS OUR GUEST TONIGHT ON NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE. MEG IS A GEORGIA CERTIFIED TEACHER WHO LEFT HER PROFESSION AFTER WATCHING THE FRUSTRATION OF HER CONFUSED SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS WITH THE COMMON CORE CURRICULUM. SHE JUST REALIZED THAT THIS WAS NOT THE ANSWER TO IMPROVING EDUCATION AND HAS SINCE COMMITTED HERSELF TO AN ACTIVIST ROLE IN STOPPING THIS CORPORATE TAKEOVER OF EDUCATION.
MEG IS TIRELESS; FOUNDED SEVERAL FACEBOOK SITES FOR THE CAUSE INCLUDING OPT OUT GEORGIA AND GEORGIANS TO STOP COMMON CORE. SHE IS ALSO A CANDIDATE FOR A DOCTORATE IN EDUCATION AND TRAVELS EXTENSIVELY TO FIGHT THE BATTLE NOT JUST IN GEORGIA BUT AROUND THE NATION. SHE ALSO IS A FIRM BELIEVER IN CLASSICAL EDUCATION WITH THE NEED FOR A STUDENT TO TAKE NOTES, WRITE IN CURSIVE, AND READ REAL BOOKS (NOT JUST COMPUTER SCREENS), AND USE PAPER, PENCIL AND CRAYONS. YOUNG BRAINS NEED HANDS ON PRACTICALITY TO LEARN.
IF YOU HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT COMMON CORE, AND YOU SHOULD, THE DISCUSSION SHOULD BE VALUABLE FOR PARENTS AND TAXPAYERS ALIKE. IF IT GOES THROUGH AS THE POLITICAL ELITES WOULD LIKE, WE'LL ALL PAY THE PRICE.
HI, I'M JAMES DICK YOUR HOST AND I'M HAPPY TO PRESENT THE FIRST EDITION OF MY NEW FORMAT ON BLOGTALK RADIO. THIS IS MY INTRODUCTORY EPISODE IN THE LIFESTYLE CATEGORY AS I NOW EMBARK ON MY INDEPENDENT SHOW. YOU MAY HAVE HEARD ME ON CONSERVATIVE REPORT RADIO, BUT NOW NORTH FLORIDA WRITER IS ON ITS OWN WITH A NEW FORMAT. SO, FOLKS, WELCOME TO NORTH FLORIDA WRITER RADIO.
WE'RE GOING TO DEVOTE OUR PROGRAMMING TO LIFE AND LIVING IT. WE'LL TALK ABOUT SOME CHALLENGES BUT ALSO MORE IMPORTANTLY ABOUT WHAT GOT YOU AND ME WHERE WE ARE TODAY. IT'S YOUR FAMILY, YOUR UPBRINGING, YOUR SPIRITUALLY; ALL YOUR EXPERIENCES AND ALL THOSE THINGS THAT PUT YOU TOGETHER. FOR MANY OF US IT INVOLVES GOD AND COUNTRY AND A DEEP SENSE OF REVERENCE FOR WHAT WE HOLD DEAR. NOSTALGIC MEMORIES AND OUR REMINISCENCE HAS A LOT TO DO WITH IT AS WELL. I REALIZE THAT WE HAVE MAJOR DIFFERENCES BUT THERE'S NO REASON WHY WE CAN'T TALK AND LAUGH TOGETHER. LIFE'S TO SHORT TO BE ANGRY AND ANTAGONISTIC TO ONE ANOTHER.
WE'LL JUST TOUCH THE EDGES TONIGHT, BUT THEN WE'LL GO OFF IN MANY DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS ON NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE IN THE DAYS TO COME. YOU MIGHT WANT TO ALSO VISIT MY WEBSITE AND BLOG AT NORTHFLORIDAWRITER.COM TO LEARN WHAT MAKES ME TICK. IN ANY EVENT, THE PLAN IS TO LAUGH, MAYBE CRY A LITTLE, BUT ALWAYS CELEBRATE WHO WE ARE AND HOW WE GOT WHERE WE ARE. WE DON'T HAVE TO ALWAYS AGREE, BUT WE CAN LEARN MUCH FROM EACH OTHER. THE PICTURES ROTATING HERE WILL TELL YOU MUCH ABOUT ME, BUT THERE IS ALSO A SURPRISE. FOR WHILE I AM A COUNTRY BOY, I WAS FIRST A CITY BOY. THE COUNTRY CAME WITH TIME AND EXPERIENCE.
LIFE: IT ONLY COMES AROUND ONCE ON THIS EARTH FOR EACH OF US. LET'S USE IT WISELY.
