Cynthia Lueck Sowden is the author of Ride Minnesota, 23 Great Motorcylce Rides in the North Star State. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Journalism.
Ride Minnesota is her third book, and the first one she has self-published. Her other books areWedding Occasions, 101 Great New Party Ideas for Wedding Showers, Rehearsal Dinners and More!, and An Anniversary to Remember: Celebrations for the Years one to Seventy-Five, published by Brighton Publications. Matt has always had a passion for fitness. Before he got his driver’s license, it wasn't uncommon to see Matt riding his bike 5 miles through Joe Town to the gym for a workout. In high school, he played both football & basketball. Following graduation, Matt enlisted into the Minnesota Army National Guard where he served on two deployments to Iraq. Upon return from his most recent deployment, he enrolled in the Health Fitness Specialist program at the Minnesota School of Business, St. Cloud and graduated with an Associates in Applied Science degree. Matt found CrossFit in 2012 and began to train soon after. He says, "The CrossFit community offers a camaraderie that I’ve only seen in the military”. His excitement for CrossFit quickly led him to becoming a Level 1 trained CrossFit Coach in 2013. Outside of coaching CrossFit, Matt enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, volleyball, skydiving, and anything else that involves being outside.
At the top of the hour Ron Rosenbaum joins Bill and John to talk about his new podcast series as well as his take on recent social and political events.
At the bottom of the hour, Cam Winton joins the show to talk about his recent op-ed on Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges' recently unveiled budget.
