God visited me in a vision on December 29th, 1980 and Baptised me in the Holy Ghost and filled me with his Holy Spirit. I worked for major Company in Kitwe, Zambia. The Copperbelt Power Company as a construction Foreman. I had a very big responsibility in my company, had a company car, a huge house with a swimming pool. The call was so strong I resigned my job left my two children with their mother and left for the Bible College in Benin City Edo State Nigeria. At The College I was appointed the Senior School prefect. I worked very closely with the founder of the Ministry, Archbishop Benson Idahosa. I was involved in Mass crusades and the Television Ministry.
In December of 1985 I graduated from The All Nations Bible Institute with An Associate Degree in Theology and Ministry. I came to Zambia and founded the Pentecostal Believers Church Of God Incorporated International. we started with 6 members and grew to 600 members. we acquired a plot of land from the state of 5 acres. On this we built the Bible College Facility, and the Church building. In 1990, I founded The Word Of Life Bible College and trained over 100 Pastors and ministers for the ministry. Then God opened doors for my overseas travels, I began going to Europe, I preached and ministered in London England, The Netherlands, France and Sweden. I had a television Ministry and preached on Radio reaching over 2.5 Million People. I had audiences with Heads of Government, the President of Zambia Mr. F.T.J. Chiluba, The Vice President Brig. General G. Miyanda. Mr. Grey Zulu, Secretary General of Unip and Vice President of Zambia. I met with the Ambassador of Kenya and many other dignitries.

Mr Sikota Wina was among the young Zambian nationals who formed the first cabinet of the young independent republic in 1964. The nation witnessed this young politician’s career spiral through the decades up to the nations democratic revolution which swept the nation in the early 90s. Mr Wina found himself in the political spotlight with first republican president Dr Kenneth Kaunda due to his outspoken and numerous accusations of plotting against the government of UNIP. Mr Wina a veteran politician is our featured guest for our 49th independence anniversary special feature to share his involvement and experiences during the struggle for independence. He will also discuss his political career through the years and Zambia’s democratic process, economic development, and issues concerning the Barotseland Agreement.

Mr Timothy Mwaba Walamba is well remembered for his long tenure as national chairman of the Mineworkers Union of Zambia (MUZ). He has spent all his adult life as an active participant in the political affairs of Zambia and other matters pertaining to the welfare of its citizenry. At the young age of 20 years he joined the United National Independence Party (UNIP), he was responsible for mobilizing members for the party and sensitizing the general public to understand their rights and need for self governance. Mr Walamba was imprisoned several for his political activities by the colonialists and UNIP government in which he also served as its Member of the Central Committee (MCC). He is our guest on our series of special independence features in which we endeavor to celebrate our freedom fighters.
Dr Nevers Mumba is president of the Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) and he is our featured guest on Perspectives to address and update us on recent wranglings within the party’s National Executive Committee. Dr Mumba will update us on the position of the party’s members of parliament serving in the PF government and those who might get appointed in future, the fall out and events leading to expelled national secretary Major Richard Kachingwe. Did Dr Mumba instruct the party cadres who literally harassed Major Kachingwe? Minister Ketra L. Davenport founded Life After Advocacy Group, Inc. in May of 2004 which is a non-profit organization committed to promoting awareness and prevention in sexual, verbal, emotional and physical abuse by identifying, admitting and advocating education within the church body and local communities. LAAG Inc. helps victims understand the nature and origin of sexual, emotional, mental, and verbal abuse as they walk through this journey, we call LIFE.
It’s mission and vision include to assist children, women and men in promoting a balanced life after being sexually abused through creating a confident, caring and personal environment. To rehabilitate the lives of sexually abused and rape victims. Also provide advocates for leadership and encouragement on sexual abuse issues. Ms Davenport joins us on Spotlight to discuss her work and the upcoming awareness projects during the month of April. She’s a strong advocate and believer that there is a life after being a victim of sexual abuse.

Glenda Puteho McCoo Wina has a long and close relationship with the people and the nation of Zambia. She arrived in Lusaka from her home town of Los Angeles in 1963, the year before Independence, in what was then the Protectorate of Northern Rhodesia, to marry the Honorable Sikota Wina. He was a leader of the United National Independence Party (UNIP) and Parliamentary Secretary in the first majority-elected government.
In 1971 Mrs. Wina returned to Los Angeles with her daughter, Mpambo. She became the first African-American news anchorwoman with a network owned and-operated television station in Los Angeles, KNXT, and one of the first specialist reporter-editors in health and science subjects in a major market, and won numerous awards and honours.
Mama Chibesa Kankasa is a veteran politician and former freedom fighter who took a prominent position in Zambia’s struggle for independence, fighting side by side with the likes of Julia Chikamoneka, Nganga Nakatindi Yeta, and their men folk. She served in several government capacities including that of Member of the Central Committee (MCC) the highest policy making body in the ruling UNIP government. She played a prominent role in social and economic development, especially for women and children; serving as minister for women’s affairs from 1969 to 1988. Mama Kankasa was honoured by late president Mwanawasa with the award of The Order of the Eagle: Second Division. She currently serves as the treasurer of the Freedom Fighters & Democracy Association (FFDA).
The National Restoration Party (NAREP) is a values-based Zambian political party. established in 2009, it is based on a cluster of values, namely: values that promote a sense of self-reflection, dignity of self and others and a sense of duty.
The President of NAREP, Elias Chipimo Jnr.Chipimo is the third boy in a family of seven. He grew up in Lusaka, but also lived in the United Kingdom, where his father served as a diplomat in the late 1960s. Chipimo’s father (and namesake) made a speech to the Law Association of Zambia in 1980 marked the start of his confrontation with the leadership of the ruling UNIP led by Kenneth Kaunda.
Chipimo, a Rhodes Scholar, graduated from Oxford with the Bachelor of Civil Law in 1990. Before going into politics, Chipimo was Managing Partner and Senior partner, responsible for corporate advisory work, mergers, acquisitions, investments and privitisations. His main area of work is corporate law, principally advisory work on mergers and acquisitions, privatisation and capital markets related work in Zambia as well as within the Southern African region.
