Best Green School? It’s Just Around the Corner

    in Environment

    Moses Thompson, Counselor &
    Genaro Preciado, Student
    Manzo Elementary School
    Tucson, Arizona

I love ALL of my guests. But, when I get to combine a great guest with a great story about schools and kids, I go into happy overload.  From the first time I read that TUSD’s Manzo Elementary School was named the ONLY K-12 public school in the United States to win the Best Green School award from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Center for Green Schools, it was “show time” in my mind. Ten year old Genaro Preciado, a Manzo student, docent, energy inspector, and composting champion joins us. And to think this super school is in my own backyard! Share this exploration with me - hear about Manzo’s Reconciliation Ecology Project and their promotion of stewardship, healthy choices and innovation in learning and educational facilities. This show sponsored by Discount Cab.
