You've all seen the Wabashiki Turtle Research and Rescue Group and the problem at the Wabashiki Welands talked about on Facebook. On this episode of HTR you will find out exactly how big the problem is and what you can do to help.
Dozens of turtles are being run over on highway 40/150 along the Wabashiki protected wetlands at West Terre Haute Indiana. Here are plans for a system of culverts under the highway designed to give the turtles safe passage that was drafted by engineering students at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology:https://www.facebook.com/download/822434907791390/Rose%20Turtle%20Proposal.pdf
The Indiana Department of Transportation turned these plans down. The Indiana Department of Transportation can be contacted at: http://www.in.gov/indot/2330.htm
This exact same thing has been done before here: http://www.lakejacksonturtles.org/

Today we will look into the Word to see what it has to say about speaking in tongues. There are some who believe that tongues died out when the last apostle died. Is this what the Word says? Tongues is for today, it is a gift from God for us to use in our everyday life. It is used to lift us up in our Spirit man and also to edify the body of Christ. The gift however, sometimes is used to exault self, which is not what it is supposed to be used for.
Peter Greenberg ventures to the North Shore of the island of Oahu in Hawaii to the Turtle Bay Resort. There he explores the movement to maintain and preserve Hawaiian culture. Plus, just for good measure, we talk to Danna Holck, the first female Hawaiian native general manager of a hotel. She talks about the importance of keeping Turtle Bay Resort's vaules aligned with traditional Hawaiian values.

In the Epistle of 1 Corinthians Chapter 12: 4-10, the Apostle Paul gives us a list of certain spiritual gifts; among them are, the gift of wisdom, the gift of knowledge, the gift of faith, the gift of healing, the gift of miracles, the gift of prophecy, the gift of discerning spirits, the gift of tongues and the gift of interepreting tongues. Now of these nine gifts, the gift of speaking in spiritual tongues is the most controversial today, within the Christian community. The spectrum level of belief concerning this gift ranges from those who teach and believe that speaking in tongues no longer has a place within the life of a believer, it has become obsolete; on the flip side of the coin, there are still others that strongly believe that without it (the gift of tongues), you do not have the Spirit of God, either dwelling in you or filling you; and denying its presence, brings a question, at best, as to the genuineness of your claim of being saved. Then there are those that believe that the gift of tongues should be used publicly, while others believe it is just part of one's individual prayer life - the way we personally communicate with God. Well, this evening we will be dealing with every aspect of this wonderful gift, given through the Blessed Holy Spirit. "The Gift of Speaking in Tongues: How Relevant Is It Today?"

On this episode of HTR we welcome back Illinois state herpetologist Scott Ballard to talk about the alligator snapping turtle reintroduction project that is currently underway in southern Illinois. Tune in to find out what all is happening!
This is the press release from the IDNR about this exciting project:
In the New Testament there seems to be an influx of gifts of the spirit that were signs that God was establishing the power and authority of his church through the holy spirit. One of the most famous is the gift called "speaking in tongues". What is this and is it the only way to know ifone has been filled with the spirit?
Why are some people so passionate about the gift of speaking in tongues while others oppose it? Why did Apostle Paul say he spoke in tongues more than them all? Does the Bible say tongues unlock mysteries? Benefit the speaker? Benefit the congregation? Benefit the lost? Bring healing to our spirit, soul and body? Enhance our prayer power? Charge up our most holy faith? Build up the body of Christ? Enable us to witness with more power? Give messages from God to others in their language? Pray effectively without natural knowledge?
