Duck Dynasty's Miss Kay Robertson & News of the Day

    in Christianity

Hey, duckophiles! You probably know that Kay Robertson is the revered matriarch of the Robertson family and star of A&E®’s Duck Dynasty®. For almost five decades, she’s been keeping her husband, Phil, and her boys from spending too much time in the woods by bringing them back to civilization with a home cooked meal. Kay believes that her cooking talents are a gift that she must share, so she often ends up feeding all of the family and most of the neighborhood. Today, Miss Kay joins us to talk about her latest release from the Duck Commander Kitchen, Celebrating Family and Friends: Recipes for Every Month of the Year.

In typical Free For All Friday fashion, we'll also be taking a look at the current events that strike our curiosity from a Biblical perspective. Have your spiritual and physical appetites ready as we consider a good book and The Good Book on Bible News Radio.

EP47 - Duck Shooting and reloading with Mike Felton

    in Hobbies

Recorded from a MaiMai somwhere in the king country Tune in to find out mikes thoughts on Duck Shooting and Reloading.

Being born in Rural King Country,MIke grew up in the 70's around the Kuratau region.

At a very young age he was introduced to the pursuits of Fishing and Hunting, both of which he is still mad keen on.

Now in his early 40's (he says) he owns his own business and started Reloading as favours for mates, but as the word soon grew about the results, especially with 12g Steel ammo, He has seen a steady increase in reloading work and would love nothing more than to make it a full time profession.

His wife says he is a perfectionist with all things related to Hunting, and to Mike thats how it should be. No half arsed antics can be tolerated when it comes to the round coming out the muzzle.

His favourite Rifle is a Tikka .243 s/s supressed, even though he still takes  his Grand Fathers Marlin .308Win Lever action out for walks every now and then. His 12g is the Berretta A400 Xplore action. When using his own Steel loads the recoil is like shooting Trap ammo.

Talking In Circles: Duck Commander 500, New All-Star Rules, Crew Chiefs trouble

    in Sports

On this episode of Talking In Circles we break down the Duck Commander 500 from Texas Motor Speedway and take a look at who's hot and who's not. Also we talk about the sudden and surprising drop in tv ratings from Saturday night's race. We discuss why and if that'll be a trend in NASCAR or just a blip on the radar.

Also as we are 7 weeks in the season there are a few drivers who are in the top 20 who are surprising. Aric Almirola, David Ragan, Paul Menard, Danica Patrick, Casey Mears and AJ Allmendinger are all in the top 20. We give you our opinions on who will stay, and who will fall.

Also with some surprises come some disappointments and usually in the middle of the season the crew chief is replaced, not the driver. With that being said we give you guys a few names of crew chiefs who could be in some trouble in the coming weeks.

Also we discuss the changes to NASCAR's All-Star race. Instead of the top two finishers in the event they will go with the two segment winners from each event to transfer from the Sprint Showdown to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. Also they've added pass event winners who currently runs the full season in the Cup Series. Right now the event is at 20 drivers. But how have these changes helped/hurt the event and what other changes would we like to see in the All-Star race, that's discussed.

John Harlow from BeyondTheFlag.com joins the show as well to give us his thoughts on this week's topics and we take your phone calls!

The ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW - Elizabeth Letchworth Chryst

    in Politics Conservative

The Corker-Menendez Bill requires Congress to approve any actions the President takes re: Iran.  Its a controversial piece of legislation that some are saying turns the Constitution on its head.  Does it?  Capitol Hill expert Elizabeth Letchworth Chryst analyzes the bill that reached bipartisan unanimous approved (19-0) by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

And... the Department of Justice has announced that it will NOT prosecute IRS' Lois Lerner for Contempt of Congress.  The decision has caused outrage among justice-seeking organizations. What will/can Congress do about it, and what kind of impact will this decision have on Hillary Clinton's bid for the White House?

Yucca Mountain in Nevada is a federally designated nuclear waste site that has been sitting idle for 30 years, thanks to Harry Reid. Now that he's announced he won't run for Senate again, rendering him a lame duck, movement is already underway to shift the nuclear waste from the country's nuclear facilities to its rightful place in Nevada.  We discuss.

April 17, 2015 10pm (PDT) The Bell Witch History & Mystery with Pat Fitzhugh

    in Paranormal

Hailing from the land of catfish, moonshine, and grits, Pat Fitzhugh is best known for his books about the history, legends, and lore of the American South. From the eerie swamps of Louisiana to the ghostly homes and misty mountains of Virginia, Fitzhugh's writing embodies the passions, fears, and tragedies of a region shrouded in mystery and rich in folklore. His reverence for the past and scholarly interest in the supernatural are strikingly evident in his style of writing, which not only tingles the spine, but exudes a profound sense of history and place. “I take yarns of history, legends, and tragedy, and I weave them into stories that not only entertain, but also shed light on the region's people and past. Tales of ghosts, haints, and spooks are often scary, but adding layers of history and culture creates a sense of realism that makes them even scarier.” Fitzhugh is currently working on the thirteenth anniversary edition of his popular title, The Bell Witch: The Full Account (Armand Press), which has become a staple of modern, history-based ghost research.  When not writing books or telling stories, Pat Fitzhugh enjoys photography, eating Southern cuisine, playing loud guitars, and fishing at Turkey Creek.
