Tonight's discussion is about Superstorms. Over the years America has been impacted with some very tense, violent, deadly storms including tropical storms, hurricanes, and tornadoes.
Just recently in Oklahoma there were multiple tornadoes that caused severe damage and changed the lives of many people as thousands were left with their homes in rubble, hundreds injured, and dozens killed.
This is a serious concern across the nation and one that is unfortunately out of our hands but though we can't control the weather we can brace ourselves and reduce the # of casualties and injuries dramatically by educating ourselves and realizing that any of us in any state, any town, any city or county can all be victimized.
Superstorms are unbias and when they strike, they strike full force. Let's stop leaving our safety and livelyhood in the hands of the weathermen because all they can do is let us know the weather they can't make decisions for us once it's arrived.
As we close our week with HTT (Hot Topic Thursday), we want to discuss something real that has a significant impact on society and our well being. It doesn't get any realer than this.
If you'd like to listen to the live show on your phone or even join in on the discussion and share your opinion the # is (347) 838-9540. Call in tonight at 9PM EST.

Coming to you live from Costa Rica and brought to you by the La Reserva Forest Foundation (LRFF). We invite you to participate in this most interesting and interactive show by calling in or participating in the "green" chat room. LRFF is working to solve climate change and lost resources by restoring the tropical forests in the "lungs of the world".
Climate change is our continuing topic. It's being caused by human activity not volcanoes, solar activity or a universal conspiracy. This is a platform for everyone to tell us your views on cc, ask questions about this most important issue. The majority of people are very uninformed about cc because it has become unmentionable in the mainstream media. Talking about it is the first step to solving it.
As always great roots and culture music plus interesting Caribbean news and events.
