  • East of Bethel - When Expectancy Is Tested

    in Christianity

In Genesis 12:8 Abram moves to a mountain East of Bethel.  Bethel is blblically defined as "the place where God dwells or God's place".    Abram built an alter there and called on the name of the Lord.  As Abram continued his journey to the south, he encounters a famine as he sojourns into Egypt.  When he enters Egypt he asks his wife to pretend to be his sister, an act that causes more harm than good.  Sometimes a promise from God will incease our belief until we are at a point of expectancy.  And when there is an intervening event that causes our belief to fail, our flesh can rage with disappointment which causes us to act out in a manner that disagrees with the thing or situation that God wants us to believe.  God is still faithful to establish His will even when we fail in expectation.

A Changing World! Live With The Rayfords!

    in Lifestyle

Our world is changing rapidly and with the changes, we need to be prepared for any eventuality.

Christians are being mocked and scorned and persecuted for their faith and in some countries, killed because they will not renounce their faith in Jesus Christ.

Now is not the time for Christians to back down or back away from promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The end is near even though none of us know when THAT END will be. It is closer than ever before and we need to know who we are in Christ and His promises to us when we obey.

Many who mock God and His Word are changing His Word to pacify fleshly desires and to undermine His intent and definition for marriage and sin. These are they who fool only themselves for while they change the "printed word" they will never change His intent or His judgment for trying to influence others to practice sin.

We discuss all aspects of current events and how they impact living for Christ. We also discuss family, The Word, Church folks and the importance of wisdom and knowledge--both spiritually and in the secular world.

We invite you to join us in our discussions by calling us at 619-6384-8499 or to join us in our chatroom online during the broadcast, at 5:00 p.m. EDT every Thursday.

We also encourage you to visit viewAuthor.at/maryglobal.

The complete catalog of my books is available and we appreciate your support.

Remember God loves you and we love you, too. Stay strong, be bold and very courageous in promoting God's goodness to all.

Jenn was inspired to write her book on friendship when she thought about starting a memoir. To begin, she created a timeline of stories of her life and realized that the stories dealt more about her friendships rather than herself. When she realized that her book would be about friends, her focus became clear and she was able to write it in only three months.
