  • Near Death Experiences

    in Spirituality

A near-death experience, or NDE, is a profound event that may occur to a person close to death or who is not near death but in a situation of physical or emotional crisis. Being in a life-threatening situation does not, by itself, constitute a near-death experience. It is the pattern of perceptions, creating a recognizable overall event, that has been called “near-death experience.” Across thousands of years and in cultures around the world, people have described powerful experiences that follow this general pattern with its common features. At its broadest, the experiences involve perceptions of movement through space, of light and darkness, a landscape, presences, intense emotion, and a conviction of having a new understanding of the nature of the universe.  An NDE typically includes a sense of moving, often at great speed and usually through a dark space, into a fantastic landscape and encountering beings that may be perceived as sacred figures, deceased family members or friends, or unknown entities. A pinpoint of indescribable light may grow to surround the person in brilliant but not painful radiance; unlike physical light, it is not merely visual but is sensed as being an all-loving presence that many people define as the Supreme Being of their religious faith.

    Date: Sunday June 21, 2015 @ 2P/PST : 5P/EST

    Call Into Show: (347) 989-8346

    Guest Bio:

Drica Armstrong was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. As a child Drica never thought of becoming a writer because she wanted to be a Lawyer. A homework assignment given to her by an English teacher in the 8th grade sparked her interest in writing. While attending high school, Drica wrote several short stories and poetry but starting writing her first novel, Beautiful Liars, during her first year of college. Writing her first novel was just a hobby but soon after gained much interest from friends and family to take her writing further. After graduating from Newbury College in Brookline, MA with an Associate and Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Drica started to pursue publishing for her debut novel. Finding no luck with traditional publishing, Beautiful Liars was self-published in 2009.

Soon after the release of her new novel, Drica finished her second novel, Hide and Seek. Hide and Seek is the first novel to be published on Drica’s self-publishing company, Double Take Publications, in 2011. In 2013, Drica published two new novels, Trust No One and Game Over. As of the present time, Drica has been in two anthologies, including Fire and Desire. Drica’s current published novels are Beautiful Liars, Hide & Seek, Trust No One, Game Over, and Betrayal Between the Sheets. Drica just formed her production company, Strong Chance Productions. Currently, Drica just wrapped on her first feature film, His Dying Wish, and is working on her new film, while living in New Jersey with her son.

  • Your Sense of Touch!

    in Lifestyle

Is your sense of touch keen?  Do you feel things energetically that others might now be aware of?  Do you get goose bumps over news or situations?  Do you pay attention to the world around you or are you "miles away" in thought from your present surroundings?

If you were in a room full of fabric would you look at them or prefer to go wild touching yourself with the fabrics? When you enter a room what sense causes your feelings first?  Is it your sense of smell, your hearing, your sight, your desire to touch what you see, or taste what you smell?  How would you do if you lived in nature like our primitive ancestors?  Have you ever tried to develop your senses beyond the world of illusions we live in?  Did you have a teacher who helped you discover how important your senses are?  Was her name Miss Annabelle?
