    Breakthrough with comedian Tom Cotter

    in Business

Tom Cotter has taken the comedy scene by storm since finishing second on "America's Got Talent" in 2012.   Tom lost to a dog act, but don’t hold that against him; he was the first comedian ever to be a finalist on the show and was the highest finishing human being on the show that year.  On August 21st 2013, AGT asked Tom back to perform as a special guest star (along with Train) and then again to host The 2013 AGT Snapple Viewing Party on the Sept 11th episode.   Tom will share his breakthroughs and the leverage of laughter.
Tom's other numerous television credits include "The Tonight Show," "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and his very own "Comedy Central Presents" special.

Rebecca Tripp and Tom Hayes the books, 'The Drunkard's Walk' and 'Revolution'

    in Comedy

'The Drunkard's Walk' by Leonard Miodinow is a work that examines the role of randomness in our lives. Miodnow lays down the thesis that there is more to achieving desired outcomes than ability, talent, hard work, etc. The radomness and inexplicable visissitudes of life bear a considerable role on whether outcomes will be achieved successfully or not. 'Revolution' by Russell Brand is  noteworthy work by the comedian/actor/revolutionary. He delineates the existence of the divine in every facet of life and is a proponent of world-wide change to bring individuals closer to harmony/equitable distribution of wealth and happiness. Tune in as we discuss the pros and cons of each authors tenets.

We are all products of the messages we receive in our lives; messages from peers, media, and friends. None of these messages are as powerful as those we receive from our caregivers in childhood.  Our childhood messages impact the intimacy we have or don’t have, our parenting skills, even the careers we choose. We become imprisoned in these roles, guided by inner voices created in childhood.  Together lets silence those intrusive inner voices, so wecan be who we truly want to be not who we were were set up to be.
