What was the highlight sports event of the weekend? Was it the disappointing 25-21 1st season loss for Detroit Lions fans @ the hands of the Arizona Cardinals in the desert? Was it the NFL's premier games that headlined Sunday including an NFC West battle where Seattle pummeled San Fran or The Manning Bowl where Eli and the 'Football Giants' came up short yet again for the 3rd consecutive time vs. his elder brother Peyton? Could it possibly be 'Pretty Boy' Floyd 'Money' Mayweather's trouncing defeat of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez on Saturday night? All of this and much more including tonight's Steelers/Bengals preview in Cincy...also a college football poll standings update...only on the MINOR sTATEment!!!

Join Cricket Enthusiast Ben Manning for a weekly show that covers all aspects of world cricket... from the england team to the west indies and from somerset's county team to the future of international test cricket itself.
Joining Ben regularly is Jack Vittles, cricket writer with "HoldingWilley", "Deep Extra Cover", "Cricket Insight" and "Cricket World".
Manning was professionally coached as a child until a back accident meant he could not persue the game, however - he has commentated (as a collector and devotee of the game) with the BBC and for Somerset county cricket club's radio commentary - some of which can be found on youtube. The Murali Kartik incident in 2012 achieved 13,000 listens on youtube. His proudest moment was to be coached by Norman Cowans and the late Wilf Slack (England cricketers of the early eighties ) as a child, but as an adult his proudest moment was when he attended the memorial service of the late Christopher Martin Jenkins - "CMJ" - at St Pauls Cathedral in 2013.
Ben's Cricket Archive of Audio and readings of rare books will feature. Thousands of hours of footage unavailable elsewhere will feature.
Current affairs, stats and the great history of cricket.

In the MYTH WARRIORS™ series we are targeting ideas to begin to assess whether they are credible or not (i.e., they are a myth, fallacy or even a lie). The topic for this episode is, “You are not a helpless victim.”
“: not protected : not able to defend yourself : unable to do something to make a situation, task, etc., better or easier : not able to be controlled” Helpless. (n.d.). Retrieved May 31, 2014, from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/helpless
Learned helplessness definition?
“[L]earned helplessness, in psychology, a mental state in which an organism forced to bear aversive stimuli, or stimuli that are painful or otherwise unpleasant, becomes unable or unwilling to avoid subsequent encounters with those stimuli, even if they are “escapable,” presumably because it has learned that it cannot control the situation. […]Seligman coined the term learned helplessness to describe the expectation that outcomes are uncontrollable. [...P]rior learning can result in a drastic change in behaviour and seeking to explain why individuals may accept and remain passive in negative situations despite their clear ability to change them.” Learned helplessness. (2014). In Encyclopædia Britannica. Retrieved from http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/1380861/learned-helplessness
"Optimistic people tend to interpret troubles as transient, controllable, and specific to one situation. Pessimistic people, in contrast, believe that their troubles last forever, undermine everything they do and are uncontrollable.” http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-02-19/features/sns-201302191830--tms--pagliarictnrp-a20130219-20130219_1_negativity-state-lotteries-helplessness

The Dodge Journey Crossroad was entered in two competitive categories at the event -- BEST VALUE and ACTIVITY VEHICLE. There were over 50 vehicles in competition, going on the track and off-track, taking short and long 'loops' around the facility grounds. The Dodge Journey won as Runner-Up in the Activity Vehicle category, which was announced at the Awards Dinner on April 28th.
The 2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad AWD at the event was a Redline 2-Coat Pearl Exterior paint with a black interior. It sported leather seats with Sport Mesh inserts. The Crossroad was powered by a 3.6-liter V6, 24 valve engine matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The interview was conducted on-site at the Texas Motor Speedway during the day's driving activities conducted by the Texas Auto Writers.

Non-invasive brain stimulation includes transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS).
Transcranial magnetic stimulation or TMS is the application of brief magnetic pulses applied to the scalp. Transcranial direct current stimulation or tDCS is the application of a mild electrical current across the scalp. Both TMS and tDCS modulate the activity of neurons.
Both TMS and tDCS can be used for the treatment of depression, as well as for the treatment of auditory hallucinations.
