Great leaders are remembered as great leaders long after their career. Those known as leaders now have an easier time becoming the great leaders we will admire later.
Today, more than ever, it's important to be known for what you do. The Internet makes it possible to look up anyone in real time, so your merits will be known to all those (billions) connected.
There's no shortcut to excellence, but there are methods to sync your true value with what is perceived online.
Mitchell Levy has been publishing the thoughts and ideas of leaders for years and brings us insites into best practices for establishing oneself as a thought leader today.
Today’s guest is Paul Carroll, CEO and Editor in Chief of Insurance Thought Leadership.
Paul is the co-author of The New Killer Apps: How Large Companies Can Out-Innovate Start-Ups and Billion Dollar Lessons: What You Can Learn From the Most Inexcusable Business Failures of the Last 25 Years and the author of Big Blues: The Unmaking of IBM, a major best-seller published in 1993. Paul spent 17 years at the Wall Street Journal as an editor and reporter. The paper nominated him twice for Pulitzer Prizes. In 1996, he founded Context, a thought-leadership magazine on the strategic importance of information technology that was a finalist for the National Magazine Award for General Excellence. He is a co-founder of the Devil’s Advocate Group consulting firm.
"True power means listening to and from the heart and having the commitment and humility to clear all that stands in the way of that heart connection." says Susan Steinbrecher (and her co-author Dr. Joel Bennett) in the introduction to Heart Centered Leadership, 2nd Edition.

Today I have the honor of having a conversation with an amazing college student, Mr. Bob Pauly. He is a Theology and History major at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family. I am especially interested in hearing his thoughts on leadership, lessons we've learned (or should have learned) from our past, and his impression of leadership today.
Each week throughout the summer, women from around the world will stop what they are doing and join a conversation about inspiration. Why? Because this will energize, motivate and fuel us WAY more than chipping away at an ever-growing To Do List.
At Tiara we believe you are the leader in your career and your life. We believe that you are more effective and fulfilled when you come from inspiration (instead of over-responsibility, over-analysis, over-fixing). This 30-minute show will shift our focus from "what's wrong" to "what's inspiring". We will leave feeling energized, supported and clear on our top priorites for the next week.
What will happen in these 30 minutes? It's hard to say!
Each show will feature Tiara Leaders, Coaches and Community Members sharing stories, tools and tips designed to help us leave feeling inspired. The content will be based on what we are seeing as trends in our online Summer Inspiration Club throughout the week.
Join us because you know it's vital to #causeinspiration in your own life and for others!
