Our Guest: John David Mann has been creating careers since he was a teenager. At age 17, he and a few friends started their own high school in Orange, New Jersey (called Changes, Inc. — you can read about it in his book, The Zen of MLM). Before turning to business and journalism, he forged a successful career as a concert cellist and prize-winning composer.
In 1992 John helped write and produce the underground bestseller The Greatest Networker in the World, by John Milton Fogg, which became the defining book in its industry and sold over one million copies in eight languages. During the 1990s, John built a multimillion-dollar sales organization of over 100,000 people.
His books are published in two dozen languages and have sold more than half a million copies. In addition to coauthoring the international bestseller The Go-Giver and Go-Givers Sell More with Bob Burg, he is also coauthor of the New York Times bestseller The Red Circle with Brandon Webb; the New York Times bestsller Flash Foresight with Daniel Burrus; the USA Today bestseller The Slight Edge with Jeff Olson; and Take the Lead with Betsy Myers, which was named "best leadership book of 2011" by Tom Peters and the Washington Post. EVANGEL PACIFIC RADIO PRESENTS...This Special Broadcast.
Pastor Will Griffith is joined by R&B Legend and contemporary peacemaker Timmy Thomas, along with his management team, Steve Tucker and Frank Levy. This is an EPR Exclusive interview on the eve of the launch of Thomas' WE CAN LIVE TOGETHER World Peace Campaign.
In 1972, Timmy Thomas was watching the evening news hosted by Walter Cronkite. Mr. Cronkite was reporting on the Vietnam war, and the thousands of American and Viet Cong soldiers that had died in battle. Timmy thought "Why Can't We Live Together". This thought became a song that was embraced by millions.
The song was initially banned in South Africa during Apartheid, yet it became their national anthem at Nelson Mandela's inauguration, where Timmy performed live in front of 200,000 people.
Timmy has had other hits world wide, as well as having his songs placed in movies such as Boys Don't Cry, C.R.A.Z.Y., Dick, Radio, and Bachelor Party. Over 100 artists including Sade, Steve Winwood, Santana, and Joan Osborne have covered "Why Can't We Live Together".
Timmy has always lived his life for peace and love, from marching peacefully with Dr. Martin Luther King, to traveling to Haiti as an airline ambassador setting up safe houses for children that have been human trafficking victims.
Innocent children are being killed by war, in the streets, and in our schools. Peace is needed now more than ever! So, he is reaching out to renowned artists in the epic remake "Why Can't We Live Together",

Etan Thomas is More Than An Athlete. He’s been called a “gentle giant.” A “rebounder with a cause.” “The Poet”. Thomas defies the stereotype of the apolitical athlete, and plants his roots in his budding literary career with the conviction of a Bill Russell, and poetic finesse of Muhammad Ali. Born in Harlem and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Thomas’ childhood was surrounded by books on the civil rights movement, politics and the 1960′s. He was greatly influenced by his mother and school teacher, Deborah Thomas.
In 2005 he released a collection of poems called More Than An Athlete; In January 2013 he released Voices Of The Future a collection of poems and essays from young writers on topics such as Racism, Trayvon Martin, President Obama, Gun Violence, Aids etc. On May of 2012 he released Fatherhood (Rising To The Ultimate Challenge) and his writings have appeared in CNN, ESPN, The Washington Post, Huff Post, Hoopshype.com and slamonline, and he co-hosts the radio program "The Collision: Sports and Politics with Etan Thomas & Dave Zirin. At the BFD Group they are implementing Thomas Mick's plan of action to remove the corruption and restore the American Republic and limited government. By strengthening the American people, removing the corrupt officers in our government and replacing them with honorable men and women faithful to American foundational principles and true to their oath; by doing so we will restore the liberty, prosperity, and opportunity that have been slowly robbed from us since the Civil War. If the people are successful, future generations of Americans will experience the freedom that was envisioned by those that began this experiment in government 238 years ago.
