A conversation with Writer/Producer Zev Brooks and Director David Brooks, about their delightful portayal of a chassidic basebal team in The Yankles.
Don Most is probably best known for his co-starring role as Ralph in the long running television series “Happy Days”. During this time, he worked with such emerging talents as Ron Howard and Garry Marshall. Recently, Don was seen in a recurring role on the hit TV show – “Glee”, as well as a starring role in the indie film – “The Yankles”
But did you know, Don Most Sings . .
Yes, it’s true. Don has a beautiful voice and he has a wonderful way of “selling” the lyrics of each well known standard that he performs. Whether it is a ballad, or swinging favorites like Clementine and Mack the Knife, audiences know they are in for a treat by the first note. He even has a couple of different shows to choose from.
The first of the two shows is, A look back at Happy Days and Donny Most’s favorite music from the 50′s – from Chuck Berry to Frank Sinatra. Don will talk about Happy Days – stories, etc, and perform the music of that era. This show includes a variety of songs from artists of the 50′s which include everything from Rock and Roll to R&B, and from Sinatra, and Darin, to Dean Martin and Nat King Cole, who all had hits during this era as well. The second is a Standards Big Band show with emphasis on the music of Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra and more.
