Mountain West media days take place in Las Vegas on July 22 and 23, so to get everyone prepared we decided to preview the event. Not a ton of news comes out of media day so Matthew, Jeremy and Chris predict who the media will pick to win the Mountain and West divisions, plus the offensive and defensive players of the year.
Since no one from the staff can be at media days we go out of our way to pick who we would like to talk to the most from players and coaches. We give legitimate questions as well some off the all one's, too.
Have a listen as we get everyone prepped for the event to signifies football is just around the corner.
Coach Murphy from Capital City High School joins us to talk about the Shot Wing T.
Pat Murphy is going on his 31th year of coaching high school football in Montana. He is currently the Head Football Coach at Capital High School where the Bruins have played for the state title six of the last 9 years, winning four titles. He has a 95 – 27 record in the 10 years at the school. Within this span the Bruins set a state record 33 consecutive wins, and their offense has averaged nearly 35 points per game running the shotgun wing-t. He was selected to the NFL youth summit in 2000 and was an assistant coach on the 2010 USA Junior National Football team.
Jeremy and Chris are starting to preview and breakdown the Mountain West football season. We are starting with a big breakdown of how we think the league will finish with bowl projections, key players and early Mountain West title game participants.
This is early to do this but going forward we will be breaking down each team once a week up until the season begins, and then we will likely revisit these projections come late August.
Tonight I have many thoughts to share on the Catholic Church, Christianity, and the Islamic Extremist. News from Key West! Goblin Shark, the rare prehistoric specimen caught here! Monroe County and smoking. And more! Interesting perspective on everyday issues.
We are back! Jeremy Mauss and Chris Hondros bring back the podcast on a regular basis (at least once a week) as we trek forward toward the 2014 college football season.
Monday night's show will recap spring football and we will be looking at the plethora of position battles at quarterback around the league. We will discuss UNLV's postseason ban and also the TV schedule that has been released for most of the Mountain West games.
As always many things to discuss. This week; the growing immigration issue with unaccompanied children. How do we handle? Also another example of why the middle class is gone! More on Russia and GM. Join author, blogger, writer and internet radio host Dariaanne for Writestream Tuesday on July 22 at 1 p.m. Eastern. In the first half of the show, she welcomes career naval aviator and author George Galdorisi to discuss Tom Clancy's Out of the Ashes:
Before 9/11 America was protected by a covert force known as the National Crisis Management Center. Commonly known as Op-Center, this silent, secret mantel guarded the American people and protected the country from enemies. The charter was top secret and Director Paul Hood reported directly to the president. Op-Center used undercover operatives with SWAT capabilities to diffuse crises around the world, and they were tops in their field. But after the World Trade Center disaster, in the interest of streamlining, OP-Center was disbanded—leaving the country in terrible danger.
Discover more about Galdorisi at his website.
At 2:05 p.m., the Right Wing Riot featuring Griff, Scary Smart and Always Right takes over to give their humorous and irreverent take on culture, politics and current events.

Tonight I discuss Detroit's water problem along with Nestle Corporation thinking that private corporations should control water supply! Also, JP Morgan taking out life insurance policies on employees? And as usual or pathetic Congress not doing it's job. Again. I also discuss the increasing sense of power the police have and much more! Interesting perspective on everyday issues.
The Mountain West had their spring meetings recently and discussed many topics including expansion, the length of the college basketball conference seasons, competing with bigger conferences and extra money from the college football playoff.
We will also get into some transfer -- or really non-transfer news -- UNLV basketball getting to showcase recruits at the 18-U national team and of course other randomness since this is still a mostly college football show and it is May.
Tonight; the immigration problem still at crises level. The Republicans stopping all compromise in congress. My way or the highway! Follow up on Washington and Colorado after marijuana legalization. China and the US debt and much more! Interesting perspective on everyday issues.
