The Vow to Abide by the Highest Law

    in Education

Join Greg, Burt, and guests as they discuss the Vow to Abide by the Highest Law.

Containing a full glossary, this paper is arguably the beginning of establishing your own Court-recognized law.  As lawful and honorable men and women, we must have some sort of law by which we abide. Otherwise, as one who is "lawless", the Courts will simply revert to default mode and apply any written law they can to your case.

Itzcuauhtli Roske-Martinez - Vow Of Silence For Climate Action

    in Current Events

What do you do when all the talk, tears and tireless protesting result in little to no change? 11-year-old Itzcuauhtli Roske-Martinez (pronounced eat-squat-lee) has taken a VOW of silence and to inspire YOU and YOUTH and ADULTS all over the world to join him in this VOW until world leaders STOP TALKING and START TAKING ACTION to fight climate change.

Talkupy Radio with Annie Lindstrom  welcomes Earth Guardians Itzuacuauhtli, his brother 14-year-old Xiuhtezcatl and their mother, Tamara Roske, to the show on Saturday, November 1 at 2 p.m. ET (12 p.m. MT) to talk about Itzcuauhtli's powerful protest. He will "speak" to us through his family members, who also will discuss their tireless campgain for real climate change.

While he will still perform activist hip hop shows with his brother, Itzcuauhtli will not speak until world leaders #1 Agree on and implement a Global Climate Recovery Plan to get us back to a safe zone of 350 ppm, #2 Mass Reforest the planet to help absorb all our excess carbon and #3 Support renewable energy solutions to replace the dirty fossil fuel industry. Go to ClimateSilenceNow.org for info and for information on how to join the protest in silence or solidarity.

Deepertruth: Confirmation This Is My Vow, I will Be Faithful

    in Religion

Pope Gregory the Great (604 A. D.) explained it by pointing out that such charismatic signs were “necessary in the first days of faith, but not in later years”(Homiliae in Evanfelia, Hom 29.4).

The Holy Spirit is poured out upon the recipient through the invocation of the Bishop. During the Easter Vigil the Priest is authorized to Confirm by proxy for the Bishop.

What a great blessing and honor it was to participate in this process while serving in Iraq.

In Iraq I was graced to be one of the
leading Catechists is Baghdad as we Confirmed all of the Candidates and Catechumens.

The miracle is that all those receiving this great Sacrament receive the Holy Spirit with all the blessings, as those from the beginning.

Pope Pius states in his encyclical, Mediator Dei, 11/20/47, “…that we learn of confirmation through its liturgy is significant. This highlights the importance of liturgy as a means of knowing and transmitting religious teaching.” As water is used in baptism, olive oil, perfumed with balsam is used in Confirmation, the Sacrament of the Holy Spirit. It is Pentecost extended throughout the world, perpetuated and made ever present in the church. It is a call to spread the Kingdom of Christ, to spread the message of salvation.

Making a Stupid Vow and You (1 Samuel 14)

    in Christianity

In this passage, King Saul makes an utterly ridiculous vow that encompassed the entire nation. No one was to eat food until the enemies were destroyed, but the troops became very weak without needed sustenance. Then the king made a further vow that would have resulted in his son being killed except the people could not stand by and watch the king follow through with his utter foolishness.

1 Samuel 14:24-27New King James Version (NKJV)

    Saul’s Rash Oath

24 And the men of Israel were distressed that day, for Saul had placed the people under oath, saying, “Cursed is the man who eats any food until evening, before I have taken vengeance on my enemies.” So none of the people tasted food. 25 Now all the people of the land came to a forest; and there was honey on the ground. 26 And when the people had come into the woods, there was the honey, dripping; but no one put his hand to his mouth, for the people feared the oath. 27 But Jonathan had not heard his father charge the people with the oath; therefore he stretched out the end of the rod that wasin his hand and dipped it in a honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his countenance brightened.

Victory 2015: 140 days fasting and prayer 20 of 20: Our Vow of Separation

    in Christianity

The call to be seperate unto this world is clear for the believer.  God makes it known that we must be set apart from this world and promises us, that if we do seperate ourselves, he will be with us and grant his power unto us.  As long as we are seperate, God's power rests on us, but if we greive the Holy Ghost, God's power in less active and not effectual in conquering our enemies.  We must remain in Christ to have victory in Christ.  To remain in the place that God wants us, we must remian defeated at his feet.  Any resurection of our old life - will threaten his Lordship over us - and make us vulnerable to defeat.  Let us return unto the Lord so that he can be in the proper position to be taken care of by him.  Amen.
