SORT BY Relevancy
Materials: Bible, Mind, and something to write with and paper.
Spiritual Conviction and Conscious will unlikely be in one's heart at the same time. The Bible suggests that anyone who is in Christ is a new creature. When looking at friends, relationships and more, the Lord requires that one be equally yoked. In the past, we have defined equally yoked as being equal in salary, belief and maybe expectations.
On today's ministry, we will uncover the revelation of God. One secret I will tell you is being equally yoked in any relationship does not mean making the same amount of money or having the same degree. The revelation will reveal that being equally yoked is being married to......stay tune.
If you have not done so, check out other ministries on this blog.

As executives move their way up the ranks and into the C-Suite, they must not forget the journey that brought them there. Many C-level leaders start out with humble beginnings, and their drive and determination to achieve greatness have gotten them to where they are today. From manning the cash register, to taking the leap and starting your own business, anyone can develop the leadership skills required to move into an executive role.
Our first guest, Paul Carbone, is a living example of an entrepreneur who worked his way up to the C-Suite. Paul serves as Chief Financial Officer at Dunkin’ Brands, and his journey to this role was certainly not that of a traditional CFO. Paul says his experiences working in the produce industry, and later founding his own businesses, have given him a unique perspective on running a business. Entrepreneurs, he said, have a certain “get it done” mindset that C-Suite leaders can adopt in their own positions of leadership.
No matter the titles of those you work with, a culture of mutual respect is absolutely essential. A leadership team may not always agree on the many facets of running a business, but a sense of alignment, even after a heated discussion, will sustain a company through thick and thin.
Our second guest, Tom Asacker, author of “The Business of Belief,” says people are pushed and pulled by their environments, and it’s often difficult to get to the root of their beliefs. It is beliefs, after all, that can hold us back or propel us forward toward our goals. To get a better sense of a person’s belief system, we must look at their actions. For leaders to motivate their teams and create a unified culture, they must walk the walk. Motivation starts with movement, and progress can only occur when we take that first step toward our goals.

Antonia Scozzari, daughter of a merger between the Boston and New York mobs... ... risking the ultimate sacrifice, an unlikely trio will come together forged by a pact to restore the spirit of the America Dream. Their quest will take them from war ravaged Iraq to the protected poppy fields of Afghanistan, into the lithium mines of Bolivia, to the smoke filled backrooms of the policy making power elite of Washington D.C. then deep into the internal workings of the drug smuggling American Mafia - where all that matters is power for personal gain.

It is unlikely the town of Ferguson, Missouri will change in our lifetimes. The mainstream media has portrayed Ferguson, Missouri as a town of rioter’s and looter dismissing the fact the town of 21,203 (2010 census) is in a crisis. In a report from ArchCity Defenders — a legal group that “works to break the cycle of ‘revolving door justice’ in the St. Louis metropolitan area” — reveals that in 2013, “the Ferguson Municipal Court disposed 24,532 warrants and 12,018 cases, or about 3 warrants and 1.5 cases per household.” In Ferguson, the “majority (67%) of [the city's 21,203] residents are African-American” and “22% of residents live below the poverty level.” Despite Ferguson’s relative poverty, fines and court fees comprise the second largest source of revenue for the city, a total of $2,635,400 [...] According to a court employee, the docket for an average court session may include as many as 1,500 cases. Assuming an 80% conviction rate, the average fine in a case resulting in a guilty verdict would be $275.The local carnage happening over the last month and a half is a direct representation of what being poor, black and broke looks like in a town with no opportunities to rise beyond the mundane.
How do you know you’ve made it big in Hollywood—we mean, really, really big? One measure would be when Denzel Washington stops over your house to help punch up your script. And for free, no less. So we can pretty much agree that Lee Daniels has arrived big time. In 2001, after an unlikely career that took him from nursing-agency owner to casting director to talent-agency owner, he produced Monster’s Ball, which won its star, Halle Berry, an Academy Award. Next he directed Precious, another Oscar darling, which snagged a statue for comedian Mo’Nique. Then came The Butler, co-starring Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey, which had uncredited assistance behind the scenes from one of cinema’s more powerful voices. “Denzel and I are friends and he was helping me with the sctipt,” Lee tells us. “I think we joked around about what would you do if you were playing the character? But at the time he couldn’t do it because he was unavailable anyway. Denzel is a dear friend of mine and he helped me incredibly with the story.”
.This episode will discuss the closing of Bauder College and the illegal and unethical acts committed by Graham Holdings and Kaplan, Inc. Bauder College is a private, for profit college located in Atlanta, Georgia. It is a division of Graham Holdings ("GHC") and Kaplan, Inc. (Kaplan Higher Education ("KHE"). The closing of Bauder College will not resolve the issues faced by inner city, urban and rural American students, which includes student loan default rates and unemployment. Most of these students will not be accepted by other colleges or universities and many will be left with nowhere to turn. The cost of attending Kaplan University is greater than the attendance at Bauder and the majority of other colleges and universities. Our government has failed these vulnerable populations and sit idle while Kaplan became a billion dollar for profit educational industry who knowingly targeted the most vulnerable population in this country with abusive practices that were used to target inner city, urban and rural poor Americans.
PART 2: IEP and Special Need Students
While the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is not in effect in higher education and colleges have no legal responsibility to identify students with disabilities, the "Gainful Employment" standards does require colleges to idenitify students unlikely to succeed in college and colleges are prohibited from knowingly enrolling students in their programs under these circumstances. Bauder/Kaplan knowingly and intentionally enrolled students from IEP high school programs, knowing that they lacked the educational, mental, emotional and pyschological means to succeed academically or in the workplace.
As King David is nearing death, one of his sons imposes himself to be the next king, but David is sure that Solomon is meant to be king, even though he is not next in line among the king's sons. As we've seen many times in the Bible, God does not always choose who we think. Anyone can be exalted by God at any time, and it seems that he best uses the most unlikely people to do great things.
