Inspiration & Encouragement Let's Talk About It, Then Pray About It "A Life Style Change"
Today marks the 13th anniversary of the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 and it's the first 9/11 that New York's September 11 Memorial has been opened. It has quickly become one of the city's top tourist attractions, although it's not without its controversy. In the museum the collection includes 23,000 images, over 500 hours of video and 10,300 artifacts in a gallery that is over 110,000 square feet.
"You Be Encouraged"
Join Helen Brahms and Molly Burke as we tackle some of the traveling chalenges out there to take you from a tourist to a traveler with confidence to help you get off the beaten path. Today we are going to look at Cultural Awareness when traveling. What things should you be aware of when traveling. What may be okay for you to do or say at home could be offensive in another country and land you with a hefty fine or jail time.
With the anniversary of 9/11 coming up Jim, Dave and Josh plan on talking a bit about the Memorial itself. Mainly how many feel it is designed to earn revenue more than anything else. That can be hard to argue with the high price of entry, t-shirt sales and offerings of statue of liberty miniatures.
Have you been to the Memorial? What do you think? Is it too costly and does the sale of tourist items lessen the meaning of this hallowed ground.
Please join us with your opinion, some 9/11 reflection and a few other EMS news items.
