Author Paul Parkinson of his new book: Unselfish – Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Selfie.
Pauls the journey that cultivated this collection of 99 stories and full color photos of selfless people celebrates acts of kindness and extraordinary sacrifices of regular people and celebrities.
From high school football players helping a special needs girl fit in, to a police officer feeding a hitchhiker and her dog, to a Hollywood producer leaving behind a 7-figure job to help children in Cambodia, the true stories in this book will restore your faith in humanity. And maybe, just maybe, will inspire thousands of people to turn their cameras the other way and look for someone they can help.
It is no coincidence that Unselfish releases the same day as Kim Kardashian’s book, Selfish. Paul Parkinson, the author of Unselfish, believes this project is an important antithesis. “We plan to release Unselfish the same day,” says Parkinson, whose last project was Nowhere Safe, a film about cyberbullying. “We feel there needs to be a counterbalance. This is not a campaign against any individual or group of individuals. It is a campaign to address the growing culture of selfishness.”
Go to our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/unselfishstories) to read additional stories of unselfishness. You can make posts there as well. Keep sharing! #UnselfishStories
We're gifting 5 copies of this wonderful book within 24 hours of the debut of this show. Send ann e-mail to @SavvyCentralRadio@gmail.com and type: UnselfishStories in the subject line for your FREE copy of:"Unselfish"

The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 1-2 pm ET (10-11 am PT).
Last week we talked about how HR drives positive workforce impact with the right data insights, and this week we’re going to talk about why recruiting is a legitimate career choice.
Recruiting has mostly been the accidental career choice. Professionals from varied backgrounds but with a unifying theme of marketing, sales and investigative technical savvy are the ones who’ve fallen into being recruiters and sourcers.
However, unlike HR, formal education is still lacking for recruiters and sourcers. It’s largely ignored and dismissed by academia, and yet there’s a growing need for comprehensive corporate recruitment training programs.
Recruiting is and should be a legitimate career choice and today there are organizations like the Sourcing Institute Foundation driving that change.
Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-founders and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as they talk about why recruiting is a legitimate career choice with this week’s guest: Shally Steckerl, founder of the Sourcing Institute Foundation and a pioneer in talent sourcing and recruiting.
Thank you to all our TalentCulture sponsors, partners and supporters!

Be Naturally Curious was started by Valerie Grosso, a former college biology professor, who is passionate about making scientific concepts part of every kid’s life tool kit. She enlisted the help of several like-minded scientists who believe kids’ natural creativity and curiosity make it possible for them grasp and internalize topics adults usually think are too complicated for them. Our artists and designers are also key members of the Be Naturally Curious team, because effective teaching and communication are so dependent on visualizing the topics and processes being taught.
Valerie is a microbiologist who holds BS and PhD degrees from Yale and Harvard, respectively, and is a former college professor. She lives in New York City with her husband and two young daughters (who try out all the mini-courses) and spends her free time knitting and roaming around the American Museum of Natural History (not necessarily at the same time).
