    This week's edition of A Kind Voice on Music will feature Zach Parkman, a Washington, DC based singer songwriter with Texas roots who specializes in folk, blues, and alt country. One of the brightest stars of the DC acoustic scene, Zach can have you up on your feet and rocking one moment and crying into your beer the next. In addition to his solo musical ventures, he recently started a band, The Darkest Timeline, with frequent collaborator Juels Bland.     Today's show features the gifted hands of Kirk Abernathy. Philly native, Kirk Abernathy, has been playing keyboards and guitar professionally for over 25 years in a wide variety of settings. He has worked with The Ebonys, The Miracles and recently with Dexter Wansel. Kirk also appears on the DVD Love Train: The Sound of Philadelphia Concert. He currently plays in seven bands and has released his first CD of original material entitled "Unity Through Music". It is an eclectic mix of music, with flavors of Smooth Jazz, Funk, Soul, Fusion, New Age, Rock and Reggae.
