JESUS TEACHES ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

    in Christianity

    JOHN 16:5-16

We are not meant to be alone, it is the plan and design of God.  A loving Father in heaven designed for us to always have some one with us.  Let us look at the positioning of the Holy Spirit.  Next week my new pastor from Canada will begin a lesson on the Holy Spirit.  I invite you all to join Pastor Christopher and myself as we embark on teaching about the power of the Holy Spirit and why He is so important in our lives, especially in this 21st Century time.

Let's talk...God is not Religious - The person of the Holy Spirit

    in Christianity

Participants are encouraged to present their spiritual questions, queries and struggles, whereby the host will attempt with the aid of scripture and the Holy Spirit's inspiration to provide adequate instruction, correction, inspiration and encouragement.  Comments and exhortation may also be solicited from the other participants within the bounds of relevance and congeniality.  The overall objective will be to create a liberated atmosphere where people feel free and comfortable to share their concerns and get their longtime, internalized questions at the least addressed and ideally answered.  This format is being employed to stir discussion and participation amongst God’s people and counter the current spectator, one-way monologue program that is being practiced in most contemporary church worship services today.  The goal being to allow the Holy Spirit the freedom, time and interaction to bring knowledge, wisdom, healing and support to the members of Christ’s body, for one another and by one another.  As well as, inviting outside seekers of truth into a non-intimidating, non-traditionally religious setting of dialogue, where they can pose their questions without fear of judgment and openness and acceptance in a spirit of love and mutual engagement.  Join us as we pierce through the darkness & cut our way through the murky waters of what Christianity has become today, so as to find the freedom that Christ intended us to have, in the same way he taught & shared when he walked & lived life among the people. What was the Act's Church & were we meant depart from it into what Church has become today. And if we have, how did we get there? Join us as we unravel these questions & tackle many more which has made Christianity into what it is today.ian faith.

    What Is the Holy Spirit?

    in Spirituality

The Holy Spirit mediates between illusions and the truth.

The goal the Holy Spirit's teaching sets is just this end of dreams. For sights and sounds must be translated from the witnesses of fear to those of love.

If you but knew how much your Father yearns to have you recognize your sinlessness, you would not let His Voice appeal in vain, nor turn away from His replacement for the fearful images and dreams you made.

Accept your Father's gift. It is a Call from Love to Love, that It be but Itself.

"The Necessary Power For Fulfilling God’s Plan Is His Holy Spirit" Series

    in Christianity

We are, however, commanded to be filled with the Spirit, which means to be controlled by the Spirit (Eph. 5:18). The disciples on the Day of Pentecost were not only baptized with the Spirit. Also they all were filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4). While the baptism of the Spirit is a one-time event, being filled with the Spirit happens repeatedly (see Acts 4:8, 31; 6:5; 7:55; 9:17; 13:9). To be filled with the Spirit, we must empty ourselves by confessing all known sin and by dying to self. We must yield ourselves fully to the Lord and depend on Him step by step (“walking in the Spirit,” Gal. 5:16). Being filled with the Spirit is also called (in a parallel passage) letting the word of Christ richly dwell in you (Col. 3:16; see Eph. 5:18 and context). GUEST THIS WEEK( DAVE AND PATTY LAGE) FROM HOLY SPIRIT LED MINISTRIES

    in Christianity

We live in the growing community of Ankeny, Iowa. Our prayer meetings are where people ask Jesus into their hearts and get set free of sickness, disease, and emotional hurts that have plagued them. The Holy Spirit heals their mind, body, spirit and then fills them up with His Holy Spirit. When we usher in the Holy Spirit, we ask Him to take charge of the meeting and we become His followers. God is our Headship at every meeting. We are teaching on Healing and equiping of the Saints. Dave and I enjoy meeting new people and attending other meetings also. We have ministered in the summer in town parks and God touched people's lives. We plan on doing more of it this year as well. We have our own worship team that travels with us to different events. We will let you know more as details become available about upcoming events. We also had the opportunity to Minister at a Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship meeting. We also Ministered at thier State Conference with our Fire team. We have Ministered in Illinois and Missouri as well as many other towns in Iowa.
