Please join me Tues. Aug. 19th at 11am CST, as we continue talking about how God gave us godly imagination- that we do have eyes to see. in the realm of heaven.
I will continue to share scriptures with you - and ask Holy Spirit to reveal to you, that as a believer - we can see into the Kingdom.
When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would arise and worship, each at the entrance of his tent. (Exodus 33:10)
Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend.
Are you His friend? Ten He will tell you what The Father says. That's His Word, not mine!
"You are My friends if you do what I command you. (John 15:14)
"No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.(John 15:15)
8.17.14: David Berliner is LIVE @ the Chalk Face. David is Regents' Professor of Education at Arizona State University and a fellow at the National Education Policy Center. We'll be talking about some fan favorites, so to speak: value added modeling in teacher evaluation and the weight of out of school factors.
In this broadcast of THE UPPER ROOM with William & Alysyn Griffith, the topic will be on poverty. Entitled "FACE TO FACE WITH A KILLER" Will's message will focus on the increasingly difficult war to put the killer of poverty in check.
"We can ignore poverty and homelessness. It will continue to haunt us as a society and it will haunt churches across this country who refuse to address it. As we debate in our church boards whether or not to buy new carpeting or a stained glass window for the sanctuaries, poverty, hunger and homelessness is on the rise. As long as we continue to bailout Wall Street and the criminal greed of irresponsible corporate moguls, this country is an accessory to the growing social injustices of poverty and homelessness. It is not a political issue. It is a human rights issue. It is a moral issue."

We almost crossed paths at the BAT rally in Washington, DC, but I did get to see video of her speech during the event. Melissa is a student of urban elementary education at the College of New Jersey and is running South Brunswick school board.
in Self Help
Dr. LaSharnda discusses how you decide that you will live a life that is free from self-despecation, free from self- criticism and free from self-hatred. She believes that, without knowing, we can be our worst enemy and despise who we are because we are constantly measuring who we are against others. Listen in as she helps you recognize that one flaw and how to overcome it.

The story of one of the nation's most notorious wrongful convictions, that of Steven Avery, a Wisconsin man who spent eighteen years in prison for a crime he did not commit. But two years after he was exonerated of that crime and poised to reap millions in his wrongful conviction lawsuit, Steven Avery was arrested for the exceptionally brutal murder of Teresa Halbach, a freelance photographer who had gone missing several days earlier. The "Innocent Man" had turned into a cold blooded killer. Or had he? This is narrative non-fiction at its finest. A true crime thriller. 8.10.14: You may know Mr. Zucker better from his blog South Bronx School. He has a pretty compelling tale up on his website about the necessity of tenure for professional educators. Notwithstanding our various ideological debates on education reform, who's right, who's wrong, and who's potentially racist or sexist, there are people out there in a lot of pain because they tried to do what's right. We need to emphasize and find ways to support our fellow educators. Remember, no activist, wonk, or pundit would have anything without the tireless efforts of the classroom teachers.
8.11.14: I chat with folks from Class Dojo, a really simple and helpful classroom management app that pretty much saved the end of my school year as a Kindergarten teacher. Dojo is also releasing a new messenger feature that can be used to communicate directly, privately, and securely with parents and/or caregivers. In fact, this release was first announced to the public @ the Chalk Face, and I was happy to support one of my favorite apps on the market for education.
