SHOW NOTES: In the COURTNEY! I AM CURIOUS series you ask and I answer! I hope that my journey through life helps you more fully explore what is probable in your life! This episode is, “How Did You Graduate From College with your Bachelors degree at 20 Years Old?”
I graduated from high school when I was 17 years old. I graduated from college with my bachelor’s degree three years after I finished high school. I was 20 years old.
1) How did I do it (graduate from college with my bachelor’s degree in three years)?
I completed all of the requirements for the degree by that time. I completed 124 credit hours and 120 were required for graduation. Thus, I graduated because I finished the degree program requirements. From RADIO SHOW/AUDIO PODCAST: Solutions…with Courtney Anderson! (SwCA) Episode 082 - Originally aired 4/16/2014 9:00 AM - HELP! SITUATION SPOTLIGHT series - “How do I pick 'the right' college for my first degree?", “in general (from a US perspective), degrees are awarded based on completed credit hours. One credit hour is based on one class hour per week throughout the duration of a semester. So, a class that meets for three hours per week for an entire term will be worth three credit hours upon successful completion. An associate degree is roughly 60 credit hours. A bachelors degree is 120 credit hours. Thus, to earn a bachelors degree would take 40 different three credit classes (which is why it takes several years to graduate).”
2) How did you complete all of the degree requirements in three years?
By planning ahead and setting a goal to do so! The most candid response I can give is that from my earliest memory my goal was to move as quickly as possible through undergraduate sch
On October 26th, Sai Maa completed the first ever Journeys of Profound Healing with Japanese simultaneous translation. Maa worked deeply with the 60 participants who traveled from Japan to participate, each one receiving immense healing both individually and at the level of the Japanese collective consciousness. This profound work included the clearing of deep cultural wounds of emotional suppression and ancestral trauma from the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
In witnessing this deep cultural healing, we are reminded of the powerful impact of Maa’s offer to humanity. As Journey Graduates, we have a unique opportunity to align with Maa in manifesting Maa’s mission of global enlightenment.
Join Sai Maa’s Successors, Lucinda Hanover and Joey Klein, for a special Journey Graduate call to explore what is possible in fulfilling this opportunity and, in doing so, rise to a new level of self-expression and mastery in our own lives.
Helen Jackson is a distinguised CUBM graduate. Upon competion of her associate degree, she went on to earn her BS and MS from Geneva College and now serves as the Recruiting Specialist for CUBM. Helen and her husband Andrew pastor the Webster Avenue Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in the Hill District (Andrew is a CUBM graduate as well). Helen is about to retire after 32 years of service in the County Court System. Today Helen talks to Karla and John about her CUBM experience, what she tells potential CUBM recruits and why she thinks everyone should enroll at Geneva College at the Center for Urban Biblical Ministry.
Having been in both undergraduate and graduate school, I will discuss the similarities and differences in both. I attended a small liberal arts school to attain my Bachelor's degree, and I am currently at a middle sized university to get my Master's degree. I will debate the pros and cons of school size as well as the requirements of higher education.
Episode 27 was a focused discussion about resources to help you pay for graduate school, the COSTS associated with it, and some basic considerations before you take on this commitment.

Today on the Brian The Hammer Show Brian welcomes Darren Champagne, Darren is a student who is unable to graduate with his friends and classmates because he was fired from his co-op position in the Mayor's office for exercising his right t free speech. He made comments about council making an erroneous decision and another comment stating that if he were to win office in the October election he would bring a big change to the civic centre. He even made these statements on a small time newspaper comment section where only 20 or so people will ever see them. Darren believes online is supposed to be his medium for expressing beliefs freely. He expressed his opinion as a private citizen with no affiliation to the municipality and he is being treated as if he spoke on behalf of the office itself. This is preventing Darren from graduating because he still needs 35 hours of co-op for his third credit.
Join us LIVE at 9am pacific - 12pm eastern time, listen to Darren's story and as Brian makes some calls to help Darren's cause.
