After three years in the making Henry Priestman’s ‘The Last Mad Surge of Youth’ will be unleashed on UK listeners February 17 2014 through Proper Records. Eclectic, introspective and compelling, it is well worth the wait.
More than 35 years in the music industry have helped bring some seasoned guests to the album. ‘The Last Mad Surge of Youth’ features the talents of Radio 2 Folk Award nominee Katriona Gilmore (Gilmore & Roberts), Graham Gouldman of 10cc, Paul Simpson (The Wild Swans) & Probyn Gregory (Brian Wilson/Beach Boys).
Henry’s varied career has seen him open for the Sex Pistols, tour with The Who write every song on a triple platinum selling album with The Christians as well as music for ads, BBC TV Wildlife, X-box, & production work.
‘The Last Mad Surge of Youth’ is a timely and well-constructed album, a voice for those “of a certain age” that have grown up, yet full of life and maybe even a little bit angry.
George Bernstein is the retired owner/operator of Outdoor Safaris, one of the earliest fishing and hunting travel services. Fishing all over the world, he has acquired eight fly-rod International Game Fish Association World records, including 2 for pike, 2 for Arctic grayling and 1 for smallmouth bass.
Toothy Critters Love Flies, is the result of the author’s over 20+ years fly-fishing for pike, musky and smallmouth bass, plus other “bonus” species available in the same waters. He spent years developing and refining techniques and flies that work for “toothy critters" and has a different slant on the subject from many other “experts,”
In addition to fly-fishing, George has also authored two riveting suspense novels, Trapped & A 3rd Time to Die, both of which have garnered loads of 5 & 4-Star reviews on Amazon and Goodreads.
Bro Alfonzo Neal teaches on the importance of the church getting back to biblical discipleship. Without it the result will be churches filled with people who say they know Christ but do not truly know how to live Christ daily.

This World Footprints show will journey to the Grenadines and unlock the mysteries of the sea in a way few seldom see or experience.
Our first stop takes us to Bequia (pronounced Beck-way), the largest of the Grenadines. Fresh from a dive at Devils Table with her dive buddy Cathy Sachs of Dive Bequia, Tonya and Cathy will recount their dive and why Bequia offers an unusual diving experience. Cathy will also share how this island has changed her life.
Then we’ll visit Bequia’s Park Bay, home to the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary, where a native retired skin-diving fisherman affectionately known as “Brother King”, has spent more than a decade of his life to helping to conserve the endangered hawksbill turtle. Brother King and his helpers monitor the beaches and nests here to protect mother turtles from poachers. They also care for the baby hatchlings in the sanctuary during the turtles’ vulnerable years of life.
Many of the hatchlings are released into a protective area just south of Bequia called Tobago Cays—our next stop. Lesroy Noel is the Park Ranger for the Tobago Cays Marine Park which lies in the southern Grenadines. The area comprises of five isles bordered by a giant horseshoe reef and teems with wildlife and wild sea turtles. Few places on earth can match the unblemished natural beauty, tranquil waters and their ever-changing kaleidoscope of blues, greens and aquamarines.

Timothy “One Gone” Poole started as a DJ in high school. He had got his start and earned his reputation by spinning music for house parties of classmates at his and other schools. He then began to host events of his own. By 1997, he become the Head DJ and Program Director at 100.1 The Bomb, which was a pirate station. But his work stirred the pot, and showed the major corporate radio stations that there was enough space for a second urban radio station in the city of Sacramento at that time. By 1999, DJ One Gone and two partners established 100% Entertainment. A record and promotions company. He has worked with much of the local talent in and around Sacramento. From his artists like, Ill Logik., Money Green , Flo, Spoken, and the Rookies to Vets, to others like Luni Coleone, C-Bo, Marvaless, Keak Tha Sneak, Lace Leno, Squeak, and Lobo. Later that same year, DJ One Gone put on an event called the “West Coast Freaknic”. He hosted as well as disc jockeyed the music for the event. That same year, DJ One Gone began to disc jockey for 92.9 The V. He did this until late 2001. Since then DJ One Gone has hosted several events as well as worked for many individuals, non-profits, and corporations. He has worked with W.E.A.V.E., which is a non-profit organization that helps battered women. He has also disc jockeyed for the Joe Serna Center, and from 1996 to 2002, he was the only DJ hired for all the The Women’s Civic Improvement Center events. In 2006, DJ One Gone and his record label, began hosting a fishing derby, where he would host the event, spin all the music, and fish as well. It has been growing annually. He is a mentor in the community. An avid fisherman, and a business- man.
Isaiah 6: 8 "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."
The Bible is littered with the narratives of men and women God has used to bring about His will. From a child with a couple of fish and loaves of bread to twelve fisherman who weren't the brightest bulbs on the shelves, the phrase, God can use anyone, rings true.
Most people, secular and non-secular, want to have the sense or the acknowledgment that their lives have some purpose, some meaning. We all, in our own way, seek to leave some sort of impact or imprint. Perhaps its through medicine, research, arts, or entertainment, we all have an inherent need to be used.
For Christians especially, we seek, with a ferverent desire, to be used by God according to His will. But in a sea of millions, do our lives matter? Does what we do have any impact around us?

John came west as a young man and settled in Berkeley where he graduated from the University of California. He still lives and writes there and often gives a talk on the California gold rush to the gang at the Freight and Salvage.
He spent a lot of time digging into that gold rush too and many of his stories take place back then. John's characters are so real they'll jump right off the page and talk to you; his villains have hearts as cold as midnight and his heroes almost always do the right thing in the end.
He's working up quite a reputation for his knowledge of that era too. His blog, My Gold Rush Tales, attracted the interest of some TV folks and he appeared in a segment for the Travel Channel about Henry Meiggs, the man who built San Francisco's famous Fisherman's Wharf.
While his first novel, Hangtown Creek, a story of adventure, romance, and coming of age in the early days of the gold rush, was published in 2011, his brand new book, Into the Face of the Devil, moves between Hangtown and the sawmill where James Marshall first found gold, and pits a young man in love for the first time against a killer so evil he could pass for Satan.
