Encouragement Group: The Mind Can Achieve
by St Christophers Inn Recovery Show in Podcasting
Tags: Encouragement Recovery Addiction Miracle Hope
This edition of the Encouragement Group features David Gerber, Director of Counseling/Shelter Services at St. Christopher’s Inn, discussing the power of positive thinking through the statement: “The Mind Can Achieve What the Mind Can Perceive.” David discusses how this statement is both encouraging and empowering as one who can conjure up the image of sobriety, and visualize it, is better prepared to take action steps to achieve it. Michael Boccia adds to the discussion by talking about having faith and trust while giving the powerful description of the man jumping from the burning building to the firemen waiting below to catch him, even though the man can’t see them through the smoke, and how this is the faith and trust one needs to have in recovery. As always, miracles will be shared, along with a special message from a returning alumnus.
