    Paul Zunno, Debbie Davies & The Blasters Sit On The Couch

    Paul Zunno grew up in East Northport, Long Island. Zunno has  written songs for other artists and his music can be heard on radio, television and film.

    Paul Zunno held the distinct honor of playing lead guitar for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Wilson Pickett and toured throughout the United States, Europe and Australia with Pickett for seven years until Wilson's passing in 2006.
    He performed on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' and in the Miramax film, 'Only the Strong Survive'; a movie about legendary soul singers.
    Paul released Live At The Phoenix House in 2010.  It captures Paul's fun live sets.
    I will chat with Paul about his incredible career as we listen to tunes from the album.
    Debbie Davies  is an award-winning singer, songwriter, guitar player of extraordinary talent.  A professional musician since the early 1980s, Debbie ranks among the top blues artists in the country. She has received ten nominations for Blues Music Awards, and in 1997 and 2010 won the award for Best Contemporary Female Blues Artist.
    Debbie released After The Fall earlier this year on MC Records.  The all-original CD also features songs written by Debbie’s long time drummer Don Castagno and a guest appearance by pianist Bruce Katz.
    We will discuss her career and listen to some tunes.
    The Blasters formed in 1979 in Downey, CA by Phil Arvin (vocals/guitar), Dave Alvin (guitar) John Bazz (bass) and Bll Bateman (drums).
    Keith Wyatt has taken Dave's place in the band and this year they released Fun On A Saturday Night, a collection of wonderful rock and blues.
    How does a band stay together this long?  What are the guys looking to achive and where are they heading.
    I will discuss this with Phil as we listen to their music.

    Teresa James was supposed to be here last month, but the world intervened.  Tonight we wil chat with this skilled musician about her career and the journey she has been on since childhood.
    We will also check out her latest album, Come On Home.
    Hadden Sayers has a backstory that is as old as the blues itself.  Bad deals, tough time, loss of friends and a desire to just walk away.
    Why his journey led him back to the blues and how has his life rebounded since are the subjects we will discuss while we listen to Rolling Soul, Hadden's new album.
    Mike Eldred picked up a guitar at 14 and it has been with him ever since.  He has played all the gigs an aspiring guitarist must and then found his break with a phone call.
    Now, the Mike Eldred Trio, with former Blasters on the rhythm section, are playing top gigs and winning new fans.
    I will chat with Mike about his career and his album 61 & 49.
    In the liner notes of the new Anni Piper / Nicole Hart album, Split Second, Joe Morabia of Blues Leaf Records talks about the idea for pairing these two great musicians together after listening to them each interviewed on a radio show.  That show...MUSIC ON THE COUCH!

Sean has written 20 scripts in Horror, Crime Capers and Grindhouse. Sean will be promoting his projects for possible funding including "Social Vigilantes" (a grindhouse film) and "Evil Menace" (a zombie horror film).
