SORT BY Relevancy
Co-hosts: Jonah, Dan, Robert, Anthony and Mike join me as we discuss some of our most comical and unforgettable first date and blind date experiences.
It’s not even hump day yet and our minds are looking forward to the weekend! For a majority of us, Fridays usually mark the beginning of it as separation from our busy work week sets in. Along with the weekend comes time to loosen up. It becomes the time to step out and have that first date. Some of us even get set up on blind dates from friends, family members and coworkers. Those first dates all seem to be memorable to us in some way, shape or form. Some end well while some...let’s just say should have never taken place and we hope we forget about them, but that doesn’t always happen!
Broadcasting live our listeners have the opportunity to call in and share their experiences and be questioned by us. Be prepared! We are all excited! Call us when the lines open up at (914) 803-4573.

Many of us have food storage. As people living a prepared lifestyle we take it upon ourselves to make sure we have what we need for any situation. Food storage is the first thing many “preppers” try and achieve first. We learn about a lot of things along the way but no matter how seasoned you may become when it comes to this facet of your preparedness there is always the dreaded “expiration date” question looming over our heads!
Join Noreen on The Homestead Honey Hour when she will try to de-mystify what that expiration date on your groceries REALLY means, where it came from, how it started and how we can be sure that eating a product beyond that number will be safe for our family!

A true Confession by the other Woman.....
There’s this idea that the husband turns to the woman on the side because she will do all of the things that his wife won’t. For me, this couldn’t have been further from the truth. I never felt like I was doing all the things that his wife wouldn’t do. I believed that she was doing all of the things that I didn’t have to do. Watching my parents’ own tumultuous relationship, I knew what it was like to watch a wife be devastated by infidelity. One of the easiest ways to avoid that devastation was by being the woman on the side. I wasn’t the one at home crying, wondering where he was. I was the one who knew. I got the dates, the gifts, the attention, while she was doing laundry, paying bills and taking care of babies—I got all of the perks with none of the responsibility.
Selling in a Skirt with Judy Hoberman with her guest Hanna Aneröd & Maura Sweeney
My name is Hanna Aneröd and I'm a filmmaker from Sweden but I film in different countries in the world. I make films together with my husband. I've discovered that we have different qualities that need to be equally used for both our relationship to work and our company to blossom. I'm developing my feminine power more and more and know this has been a piece of the puzzle missing. I've always had a big interest in women's issues and have got great knowledge while doing documentaries the last five years. I'm making several documentaries parallel that are about women. - One film, Thailand Dreams, is about Western men and Thai women and the line between love and exploitation. www.realityfilm.org
Maura Sweeney grew up in New Jersey – northern, that is and Exit 16W to be exact. I used to think I was articulate, pronouncing things like water (whaa’-tah) and coffee (kwah’-fee). I’d also reference others as “you guys” but never as “youz guys”. It wouldn’t be proper grammar for the girl voted Most Dignified in her Lyndhurst High School graduating class.
Long before Snookie and The Situation, I spent a number of very happy summers at the Jersey Shore- the brilliant sunshine, warm sand and sea air provide me with wonderful memories. At 15, I worked on the Pt. Pleasant Beach Boardwalk as a Jenkinson’s Pavilion Penny Candy girl. Literally earning pennies per hour, I was most proud to be wearing a uniform and earning my own wage!
