    Welcome To The Randy Report!

    in Entertainment

Join Randy Slovacek, editor/writer of The Randy Report, as he launches the companion podcast to his popular blog covering pop culture, entertainment and political news of interest to the LGBT community.

On this debut episode, Randy talks with Broadway veteran Lee Roy Reams, who is currently starring (and we mean STARRING) as "Dolly Levi" in the classic American musical HELLO, DOLLY! in Boca Raton, Florida. Reams is the first American male actor to play the role of the meddling matchmaker, and he's getting standing ovations, soldout audiences and rave reviews. Major media has taken note of the critically lauded production all the way across the US to the LA Times. Reams talks about the hows and whys of taking on such an iconic female role, and making it his own.

Also, award-winning singer/songwriter turned movie producer Matt Zarley joins us to talk on the journey of his acclaimed musical short film, "hopefulROMANTIC." Accepted into over two dozen film festivals, the film is part music video, part Broadway musical and part romantic movie - in fact, it's all of those things and more. Zarley discusses the inspiration for the project, as well as the evolution of the film, plus he shares several songs from the film

Additionally, we touch on hot topics of the day including the current race for the White House and more.
