    Life Challenge with Don Mills

    in Lifestyle

Life Challenge #2 with Donald Mills

Mentorship. Last week, we found a reason to celebrate. This week, we want to figure out who we are, what we want out of life and how are we going to get it! We started life admiring someone-the parental figures in our lives, and then we had our role models. We took a little bit of this and a little bit of that and developed our personalities and styles. Now, we are the role models and folk want to learn from us. But for us to take our lives to the next level so that we are in a position to give something back, we may have to take two steps backwards. For the better or worse, we have to remember how we got to where we are in life. We have to remember what we wanted, did we get it, and know, what we want now. We have to remember what happened in our lives that resulted in our feeling happy or sad and know how we feel now. Life Challengers, you are the mentors? Folk look to learn from you. They want to be like you. How do you help them live fuller and more satisfying lives and what are you doing for yourself to live a fuller and more satisfying life. Time to take inventory of yourself!

    Pittsburgh Steeler Ernie Mills

    in Education

The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview a favorite Pittsburgh Steeler,  Ernie Mills.

Ernie Mills comes to the Rattler squad as the receivers’ coach.  Mills was a standout receiver for the Florida Gators before being drafted in 1991 to the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He played in Pittsburgh with Holmes until 1996. In 1997 he played one season with the Carolina Panthers, before playing with the Dallas Cowboys in 1998 and 1999.

Ernie Mills led the Gators in receiving touchdowns with 10 in 1990.  That season he also garnered 770 yards receiving.  He was a first-team All-SEC selection with the 9-2 Gators in 1990, playing under both Galen Hall and Steve Spurrier in his time at the University of Florida.

Ernie helped the Steelers get a birth in Super Bowl XXX with 39 catches for 679 yards while scoring eight touchdowns on the season.  Mills spent nine years in the NFL.  He finished his career with 196 receptions, 20 touchdowns and 2,934 yards.  Mills is still  regarded as one of the toughest receivers to ever play professional football.  His versatility as a blocker was often compared to the resolve of the area’s reputation for blue collar steel workers. Also a return man in the NFL, Mills gained  and amazing 1,818 yards on 80 kickoff returns.

TERRI DANIEL Author, Birth, Death & The Journey of the Soul - Afterlife

    in Spirituality

Terri is an ordained interfaith minister, a clinical chaplain and an intuitive counselor who assists dying and grieving individuals to discover a more spiritually spacious understanding of death and beyond. Her unique perspective on birth, death and the journey of the soul helps the dying and the living find meaning and healing through meditative and ritual practices that open a conduit to other dimensions. Her unique form of "radical mysticism" incorporates elements of Buddhism, Shamanism, ancient pagan practices, gnostic Christianity and other spiritual traditions to break down limiting beliefs about forgiveness, divine judgment and negative experience. Terri replaces these beliefs with an empowering vision of a co-created universe where there are no victims or perpetrators, only souls seeking expansion and awareness.

Terri is the creator  of the annual Afterlife Awareness Conference.
