As I continue to grow, I'm learning daily it is a good thing to obtain wise counsel, but make sure it is wise counsel. We learn that at the end of the day, we have to be true to self and the one(s) we are in relationship(s) with.
Our friends, our peers have experiences and interests that may be similar. We all make decisions and in those decisions we have to make sure WE allow our own spirit to speak. No one knows your relationship better than you and the other person involved. Now if you are being beat up on, you need to take heed but when it comes to how you choose to engage in your relationship, who you choose to engage with and when, is your choice with the hope that you make the right choice. It's natural for people to identify and compare themselves to one another. We are very influential and can be influenced. My question to you is:
1. If in a relationship tha does not fit the norm, do you feel uneased because people will look at you differently
2. Do you feel you need to be married by a certain age because others say you should be?
3. If you have a strong liking for someone but others say they're not right for you, what do you do?
These are just a few things we will discuss. Join the conversation!
Why do we do some of the things we do in a church service. Is it the Holy Spirit? Is it tradition or routine? Do we do some of the things we do because we are told to do them? Or could it be something else? Somethimes, we just go along to get along! Maybe you don't want to give any money. Maybe you don't feel like standing up, clapping, praying, singing or shouting hallelujah when someone tells you to do it........but the peer pressure is trremendous. You don't want people to think you aren't saved, or holy ghost filled, or in the spirit. Have you experienced church peer pressue? Share your story! Cherishing Children Theme - The Power of Music for Children with Emma Creed of Sound Affects.
Even before a baby is born they can hear and respond to sound. Mummies will choose various music to listen to, to move to, to relax to during pregnancy and birth. New mums will then spend hours connecting with their baby with lullabies, rhymes, tickles, bounces and other songs, strengthening bonds and creating comfort and joy. They may even join a music group and allow their children to participate in music making with other littlies.
These formative years are very important and will not only lay a foundation for development but also a lifetime of loving music.
As children grow older they may become involved in more formal music education through school music lessons, joining choir or having private instrumental tuition.
Music is unique among the areas of study available to children. Music education offers a vehicle of self-expression, self-revelation, expression of the emotions, the education of the whole person and the education of creativity through aesthetic experiences where children are able to encounter a feeling of peer acceptance.
Music education is concerned with the total development of human lives and making a positive difference in the quality of human existence. It is an essential part of life!
In this interview Emma will discuss the importance of music for children and share musical ways in which we can support our children in their total development.
