When Neil Armstrong said the famous words, that’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind He was standing on the surface of the moon on the Apollo 11 mission.
It took the vision of many great scientists and inventors, and a lot of hard work, scientific discovery, and creation to develop a way to go to the moon and in a time, there is now well over 40 years ago with technology was not nearly as advanced.
Brain injury and disability need their ah-ha moment in history and say it’s their time to stand firm and plant our flag and say we have arrived to place a new understanding encouragement and hope of disability, a place where we can stand on her own strong and believe in ourselves a place I call Dream Catchers.
My vision my dream is a place where we can come together work and learn on new skills and develop a whole new life after injury! So join me tonight as we take a step forward in the name of humankind and develop new friendships and relationships here on Dream Catchers.

We are being attacked by electromagnetic fields in ways that has never happened in our country’s history!!! During the past several weeks, I have discovered that we are being bombarded by electromagnetic energy, in all directions in our homes and our workplace, in our schools, even at the water meter!
It’s quite unbelievable if the facts and evidence want right before our very eyes hidden in plain sight that it everywhere with little or no oversight. I just recently discovered that in both Aiken, SC and Augusta, GA very close to where I live, local governments are spending millions to increase and expand Wi-Fi to cover large portions of the area that were not covered before.
I love Wi-Fi! I love cell phones, and other wireless devices, but the simple fact is they emit microwave radiation much like a microwave oven, which is devastating to the human brain, and body and a list of symptoms and complaints from cancer, to leukemia, to birth defects, and tumors and on and on is just overwhelming, and yet no one is complaining. Honestly, I may appear to be a full to the listeners. Yet all I ask you is to listen.
There are ways to lower this magnetic smog that is being emitted everywhere, which is especially alarming to children and can cause considerable increase in risk of harm in them!
I hope I’m crazy like a Fox because in the real world. The foxes been allowed to go into the hen house and unleash electromagnetic radiation in a way that if it was nuclear radiation America and the world would be extremely alarmed and yet we sit silent wake up America!

Did You Know...
• 65 million people in the U.S. live with a disability. In 2001, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service conducted a national survey. Findings showed just over seven million disabled people participated in wildlife-related recreation; 11% of the disabled population compared to 39% of the non-disabled population that participate.

March is Brain Injury Awarenss Month! Light the applouse sign....Come on, clap, cheer, wave your arms. (OK, occasionally we have to take what we can get, I reckon).
Like you, I'm aware of my TBI and others with brain injury each moment of each minute of the 365 days that make up 12 months, not just March.
Remind, me again what month it is? Oh yeah...
Let me offer, I am aware concerned professionals and us good ol' goofy folks are attempting to provide, promote, and in some cases provoke brain injury awareness. Clap again, please.
Sunday night, we plan on having a wide-spread BI Bash for to ring in the season. I had planned on informative 10 guests -- and still a goal-- to remark on one subject concerning the invisable illness. However, a couple of folks evidently are too busy to be a guest on TMDS to speak for 5 or 10 minutes about BI Awareness. Yet a solid crowd has agreed - Survivors Craig Sicilia, Deborah Berry, Annie Ricketts (I hope), Dr. Kevin Butterfield (again, hoping). Caregiver Mahlon Whitiker, Jamal, Beth Edwards of Hooks Rehab and I'm working on more. Of course a mixture of our hosts on BIRN, and callers.
Its so cool being involved with the world's largest support group. Yet so far, where my miracle took place, not much support from my Hoosier friends now I'm back in the cornfields. But you folks hear me, as the world seems to be joining in. Let the fireworks begin, ring your bell and toot your whistles, we are going to spend 3 hours kicking off "Brain Injury Awareness Month" this Sunday night on TMDS.
"Did I say that out loud?!"
One of the most noticeable changes with TBI survivors and their family and friends is lack of inhibitions. Commonly called "filtering" it helps us decide what is appropriate behavior, language and manners in social situations. What do you do when your filter doesn't signal correctly or is delayed? Almost every brain injury book out there has a chapter on this idea. We will talk about how people can realize when it is happening when it is appropriate to say it out loud and when it should just be kept to yourself. A little awareness goes a long way on this one.
