    This week we are excited to have Dr. Kathryn Foster on the show. Kathryn’s Ph.D. is in psychology & counseling; she has a master’s degree in marriage & family therapy. She has practiced psychotherapy for 23 years.


    She specializes in depression, relationship issues, anxiety, chronic pain, divorce, gay/lesbian issues, grief, OCD, spirituality, trauma, dissociation, family and sexual problems. She is also the author of four books including The Naked Truth about Men (and romance).

Previously serving as the senior vice president of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a non-profit organization founded by the American Heart Association and Clinton Foundation, Rain was instrumental in helping to build the organization from a blueprint to an award-winning non-profit with a presence in 50 states and a positive impact on the lives of over six million children. Rain holds a M.P.A. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and a B.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University.

    Dream Catchers - Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension PAH - Lorraine Stuckey

    Tonight we will be speaking The effects of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) on brain function are not well understood, despite patients’ frequent complaints of cognitive difficulties. We have recently validated a brief battery of tests administered by telephone to identify cognitive deficits in patients with PAH


    Today is World Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension PAH Awareness Day. we have purple lips to bring awareness too the need of discover. Deficits in cognitive function are common in patients with PAH. Further study is required to determine risk factors and changes with therapy.


    Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a rare, debilitating disease in which high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs can lead to right heart failure.


    From simple beginnings—four women who met around a kitchen table in Florida in 1991—the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) has evolved into a community of over 16,000 PH patients, caregivers, family members and medical professionals. PHA's mission is to find ways to prevent and cure PH, and to provide hope to the community through support, education, research, advocacy and awareness.


    We will also discuss other topics as well in an open forum so be ready to get involved!
