Let's talk emotional health. Now more than ever, Americans face regular emotional assaults stemming from stresses at work, financial pressures, and relationship or home life problems. The accumulation of these psychological injuries can interfere with our functioning and cause long term emotional harm, but can we do anything about them?
Ask a friend or family member:
•What should we do to ease the sharp pain of rejection?
•How do we stop the devastating ache of loneliness or the bitter disappointment of failure?
•How should we recover from low self- esteem or loss and trauma?
•How do we deal with intrusive ruminations or nagging guilt?
Every household has a medicine cabinet of bandages, ointments and painkillers we use to treat the physical injuries we sustain in daily life. Psychological damages such as failure, rejection, or loneliness occur at least as frequently as do physical ones, but we don’t know how to treat them so the wounds don’t heal. For example, experiencing failure can lead to crippling test anxiety, rejections can damage our self-esteem, and loneliness can take years off our life expectancy if we can’t find a remedy.
Join me andmy guest Guy Winch to discuss practical strategies to treat psychological wounds. Read about it on my blog at http://cebreez.com/uSbyC

Tonight a serious subject that isn't much talked about. Tonight we are talking suicide. We think, write and talk a lot about how to prevent suicides. But we rarely talk about the families who survive a suicide. What happens to them? How do they go on?
Join me with my guest, Carl David. Carl David is a member of a four generation art dealer family that specialized in American and European seventeenth, eighteenth and twentieth century art. He has a degree from Oglethorpe College in Atlanta. He is the author of Bader Field. Bader Field is a memoir of how his family his family was scarred after the suicide of his brother. He wrote the book to help families cope, and to reach out to those contemplating suicide to say that there is a better way.

Welcome to, "Your Place"! If this is your first time to look at our show, we want you to know that we sometimes take the other side of an issue to get people to think outside box. We always look at all issues based on our relationship with God, but it is not by chance that this show is called "Your Place". At the end of each show we open up the mics to comments or questions. Just push one on your phone and you'll be identified by the last four digits of your phone number. Hopefully you will get used to some of the antics of Wild Bill. For example the songs selections that he uses to start our show! Tonight our guest speaker is Bro. Paul Mooney. You are going to hear a lot of repetition of the word, "whatever". To adopt a phrase because it sounds cute can be a self proclaimed prophecy if we are not careful. Of course some people make the choice of this being their heartbeat. Two scriptures come to mind, "From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" & "As a person speaks, that is who they are". This is not an exact quote of the scripture but I hope you get the point. It does not matter if an attitude is from our heart, or words that we proclaim. Because either one will affect the other! Bro. Mooney taught this lesson with the title, "Dinner At Jezebels" . One point I hope you catch is that no matter what attitude we have, this does not change consequences of our actions! We look forward to your comments or questions and hope that you enjoy the show.
