Disussing the issues of the day
In the wake of all the current news and issues in the media, what is the fascination we have with blaming the victims for the violence and problems that are often visited upon them?
Victim Blaming and Shaming?? What the hell is our problem?? Why do we protect predators?
Plus, are there "In your race" conversations?? Things that you on say to "your people" and not in mixed company??

There are a so many great topics and because I have done a tone of shows, some of the topics, I will remix or update. With that being said, What is the "T" on Love?
Do we use that word, too much, too little, too freely, too quickly?
Love between partners? Friends? Parent? Child?
When does Love turn "Obsessive and Possessive?" Is that Love at all??
It is possible to never love at all and still have a happy life.

Sunday, August 17th, my guest is author Tiana Nicole. Tiana will be chatting with me about her book, Deceitful Temptations. This book is an Amazon best seller and the storyline is very compelling !
About the book:
Lord, please forgive me, I prayed silently and placed one of the heavy towels over the baby's face to stop it from breathing. It didn't take too much of an effort, because in a matter of seconds , the baby was lifeless again. I sat numb as I cried aloud, in total shock because I didn't have any signs of pregnancy, and still having periods. I didn't understand how I did not know a life was growing inside of me. I should have told my story to that TV show ‘I didn't know I was pregnant’.
I gathered myself and began to clean the blood from the hardwood floor, placed the baby in the bag, and sat there shocked, guilty, and confused until the sunlight of a new day crept through my living room window. I finally got the courage to get up and clean myself up. I decided to catch the ferry over to the Jersey City boardwalk. I discreetly placed a few bricks from the boardwalk deck into the garbage bag, then grabbed a bite to eat. I re-boarded the ferry back to the city, I made sure no one was watching, then dumped the garbage bag over the side of the ferry into the water , and watched as one of my many secrets sunk deep down to bottom .

Join me for a special edition of the Author Chat show on Tuesday, August 12th when I interview author/dietitian Karen Donaldson about her new book, Beat the Belly Fat Blues: Mind-Body Solutions for Permanet Weight Loss. This book is getting rave reviews on Amazon and is currently on their best sellers list!
About the book:
If you’ve ever asked yourself the question “I know what I’m supposed to do to lose weight, so WHY can’t I do it?”, you need this book. In the tradition of Deepak Chopra in What Are You Hungry For? and Geneen Roth in Breaking Free From Emotional Eating, Belly Fat Blues explains the complex interaction between carbohydrates, stress, cravings, emotional eating, and brain chemistry in a way that is easy to understand.
As a registered dietitian, Donaldson explains how our comfort foods raise the serotonin and dopamine levels in our brains, making us feel calm and happy. But “self-medicating” with carbs ultimately backfires as it leads directly to belly fat. As a recognized expert on emotional eating, Donaldson’s intuitiveness and compassion shine through as she explains how negative beliefs and traumas stored in your mind prevent you from losing weight and keeping it off. Losing weight is not about what you eat, it’s about what’s eating you.
