    Our Sexuality is Not Enough

    in Motivation

We live in an age where there is a lot of casual sex going on more than ever. Many of us feel that sex is not something we should highly regard and consider. There are so many different reasons why people do what they do in regards to casual sex. However, many are trying to fill voids and using sex as a way to get closer to others. On the flipside, sometimes sex is actually used as a way to avoid attaching ourselves and being vulnerable. Even though that is all an illusion because you become one with anyone you lay with.

I want to encourage us to get back to the basics of life when we evaluated what we really wanted. When we respected our bodies and our emotions and was more selective in who we allowed to get that close to us. When we dressed modest and left some room for imagination. When we took time getitng to know someone. Sex does not sustain a relationship with others. Walking around attracting men or women with our bodies by how we dress and carry ourselves will not either. All it will do is bring the wrong things we do not need and push away the love we desire.

Sex is a beautiful thing in a marriage covenant between a man and a woman who are serious about their walk with God and plan to spend the rest of their lives together. They understand that sex is a booster in their relationship filled with friendship, faithfulness, love, dedication, and more. Sex is not the foundation of their relationship and with the power of God, it will not easily be destroyed when storms come.

I know what it is like to have relationships that have no substance so I can speak on this. I know the time you waste and the regrets you end up with later because of your actions. We need to remember that God does not intend for us to be defined by our sexuality. Our bodies are to be a living sacrifice to honor and serve him. Not to freely give away to those who most likely will not stick around after some time.

Feeling Great on the Road to Fulfillment with CoAuthor Kelly Johnson

    in Self Help

Feeling great is not something that can be bottled and bought. It does not come from where we live, what we drive, or who we know. It's not about having a good time for a few hours, or about having money to spend. It's about putting our lives in order and remembering who we really are--an authentic way of living from the inside that will sustain us through life's challenges.

Our physical, emotional, and spiritual health have more influence over our ability to feel great than anything we experience on the outside. With so much going on in and around us, the quest to feel great for any length of time can feel pretty hopeless. But it isn't hopeless. It's actually quite possible, and easier than you think.

Today's special guest Kelly Johnson co-authored the book, Feeling Great: Creating a Life of Optimism, Enthusiasm, and Content. The book breaks down the elements that must be present in our lives to experience sustained peak living. It succinctly brings forth what needs to be cast aside, what needs to be adapted, and how to get from that place of emptiness to robustness as we build character traits that strengthen our contentment muscles.

Feeling Great is built on the timeless spiritual teachings of visionary Dadi Janki, revered leader of the worldwide Brahma Kumari Spiritual Movement. Along with co-author Peter Vegso, Kelly Johnson reveals practical applications to help us navigate and overcome the sticking points we all encounter in our hectic, overscheduled lives.

Today Kelly will tell us how we can all feel great, and will explain the three precepts that are pillars for doing so - Enthusiasm, Optimism and Contentment.

How True Relationship Building Rises Above Social

    in Business

The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at its new time from 1-2 pm ET (10-11 am PT).

Last week we talked about the impact of gender diversity on technology business performance around the world, and this week going to talk about why true relationship building rises above social.

Long gone are the formal protocols of the “offline” networking world. Professional and social networking took a lot more work to uncover, establish, and deepen mutually beneficial business relationships.

Social media has made connecting and networking so much easier and accessible to nearly everyone with an Internet connection and a mobile device.

In a hyper-connected world, those who are able to build, maintain, sustain and leverage their entire network outside of social, be more successful, and impact the world.

Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-founders and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we talk about why why true relationship building rises above social with this week’s guest: Rob Garcia, Silicon Valley product executive and co-founder and Chief Product Officer at ConnectUp.

Thank you to all our TalentCulture sponsors and partners: Dice, Jibe, RecruitiFi, TalentWise, Hootsuite, IBM, CareerBuilder, PeopleFluent, Silkroad, Predictive Analytics World for Workforce and HRmarketer Insight. Plus, we're big CandE supporters!
