The Virtual gastric Band is a remarkable weight loss programme, and one which Sheila Granger has pioneered in the UK. As the name suggests, the system utilises the concept of a ""virtual” " gastric band and clinical hypnotherapy. It successfully harnesses the power that every individual holds within them to make changes to their lives. Many clients have benefited from The Virtual Gastric Band therapy.
So, what is it?
The Virtual Gastric Band is a non-surgical technique which uses the power of hypnosis to retrain you to be satisfied with smaller amounts of food. It changes how you think about food and gives very safe, very predictable results. The clinical hypnotherapy convinces the brain that the stomach is full after a certain level of intake, and that there is no need for more food.
It is most definitely NOT a diet - we know that diets only work in the short term. The Virtual Gastric Band allows you to eat what you want, but will enable you to intake smaller portions. And, because it’s not a diet, you won’t feel deprived, miserable or hungry, the issues which cause diets to fail. As The Virtual Gastric Band effectively negates these issues, you are left with a long term solution to your weight problems.
The medical procedure reduces the physical size of the stomach, and may achieve the same result, but The Virtual Gastric Band can be undertaken quickly and privately, without the lengthy delay of hospital waiting lists, and of course carries no costly invasive surgery, no risks and no on-going medical treatment.

An annual Chicago event coming up at the end of August (August 25 to August 27) is the answer that many franchisors are looking for. Three years ago, a business-powerhouse saw a problem and did something about it by creating the Franchise Capital Exchange (FCX). Franchise Capital Exchange is the only event of its kind where franchisors present their business opportunities to potential investors in an effort to secure capital to fuel their future.
This event is a one-stop-shop where brands and capital partners come together and can pitch themselves to multiple parties. The event allows for cost and time efficiencies as well as encourages networking and learning opportunities.
The brain behind this revolutionary idea is that of Susan Black-Beth, Chief Operating Officer for Super Wash, Inc., who was literally born into the business world. Susan comes from a family of entrepreneurs and grew up in a family business and started working when she was 4 years old.
Susan bought her first business (Super Wash rehab) when she was 19 yrs old
Susan was a multi-unit franchisee for 9 years
She started a professional speaking business in 2010 (33 yrs old)
She started Franchise Capital Exchange (originally known as "Dealmakers' Summit) in 2012 (35 yrs old)
Overall, Susan started 3 companies by the time she was 35
In segment 2, you will hear Marty McDermott, the President of Franchise Interviews, on WVOX radio discussing franchising and branding.

Dr Susan P. Plummer asserts that “most of us are being called into Deep Change, a call that is felt in the midst of our everyday lives. It is both a collective and an individual calling. We long for greater connection to life, to feel more alive and meaningfully engaged.” Who among us can argue with this position today? This change is often misunderstood: we think something is going wrong, or something is wrong with us. Furthermore, Deep Change is rearing its head in the lives of individuals, organizations, institutions and even countries/cultures. Dr. Plummer’s approach encourages us to embrace our true heritage of compassion, connection, freedom, and belonging, allowing us to make Deep Change is a more balanced and sane way. Join me as we discover how to make change gracefully! Click here to visit Dr. Plummer's website and her book.

Susan Allison—you may know her as the highly successful author of Conscious Divorce and Empowered Healer --never believed in love at first sight—until it happened to her.
Then on a full-moon night in June 1994, she met Thomas Hickenbottom at a writer’s group, and had tea with him afterward. Then the magic began. Star-struck, they each went home, stayed up all night and wrote full-moon poems to share at the next group. Their poems had the same title and similar message!
They continued to write love poems through three separations caused by fear over the intensity of their feelings, and wrote poetry to celebrate their wedding at the summer solstice in Santa Cruz, California. They celebrated their love with three recommitment ceremonies, and kept writing poems to each other during their blissful 17-year marriage as true Soul Mates. Susan even wrote poignant poetry about her husband’s cancer and eventual death in August of 2013. In the darkest times, their love continued to light the way.
Before Thomas’ transition, he and Susan agreed they would tell their story through their love poems as an inspiration for others longing for the same kind of deep, enduring love. They wanted their poetry and their love to show that finding one’s Soul Mate IS possible. They wanted to model for readers how to live and love in a soul-mated union by creating a dialogue, with a poem of Thomas’ and one of Susan’s facing each other like love letters being exchanged. Read in order, their poetry tells the story of their love over nineteen years.
The newly published book, Our Spirits Dance by Susan Allison and Thomas Hickenbottom, illustrates the importance of having faith, and being tenacious and committed--inspiring readers to have the courage to keep their hearts open and love more deeply no matter what.
