    in Fitness

"CAN WE GO WITH THE FLOW OF LIFE RATHER THAN GOING AGAINST THE CURRENT?"  Science of Mind-April

Living in todays hectic world, the practice of surrender can be a real benefit to so many who are stressed and feel they've reached the limit of their own human capabilities.  Surrender is not only a luxury for just a few who discover the secret, but something we can all learn to practice.

PARADIGM SHIFT...LET GO of the belief that HARD WORK to the point of STRESS is the answer to a more fulfulling life.  Keep in place your positive work ethic, embrace the level of mastery, go beyond living narrowly focused on individual effort.

RECOGNITION, ACCEPTANCE and TRUST are foremost in surrendering.

    STAY TUNED...

See it in your mind's eye...etc.

    Practice on setting intentions to...etc.

    LET GO OF FEAR...etc.

    Trust and Believe...etc.

    THE KEY...etc.

LIVE! with Cathi---Surrender to your highest good!

    in Fitness

YOU CAN CREATE THE LIFE OF YOUR DREAMS!

Eleanor Roosevelt said and I quote...

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dream!"

Are you willing to define "what you want" and let of attachment  to 'HOW IT SHOWS UP."  Are you willing to surrender the belief that you always HAVE TO BE IN CONTROL.

What do you want to manifest in your life, how do you attune your mind to choose  what you want to manifest.  The practice of surrendering seems so frightening.  Does the idea of letting-go and allowing make you feel like your whole life will fall apart.  For a greater life to emerge for you, you have to let-go and then in letting-go a greater life could emerge for you.  Can you hold the belief that you don't always need to be IN CONTROL.

    STAY TUNED...

The dreams you believe in can come true...etc.

    Let-Go and Trust...etc.

    Control is really an illusion...etc.

Signs that it's time to surrender...etc.

    Trust the process of life...etc.

    Carol Stratton,Lake Surrender

    in Books

In my first novel, Lake Surrender, I use my love of Michigan lakes to tell a story of a woman struggling with abrupt change and difficult circumstances to see a greater hand at work.

With slices of humor, I write of hardships many face as a single mom, a parent of a disabled child, a displaced employee, a lonely widow and a once homeless young man.

My characters, flawed, live through unnerving stress, like a barefoot water-skier hanging on to the boat connected with one strand of yarn to life. While hanging onto the boat for dear life they find the unwavering patience of God in the most unusual places.

Using my degree in Recreational Therapy I have worked with autistic children, In this novel I wanted a story that would lift their value in the world while at the same time highlight the difficulty raising such a special child.

My first book, Changing Zip Codes: Finding Community Wherever You're Transplanted is a devotional for movers, anecdotes pulled from 22 moves. I have a passion to help families move reminding them they will have a life and community at the other end.

A foot loose and fancy-free freelancer for fourteen years I've now settled down to a regular gig as a reporter for the Mooresville Weekly in Davidson, North Carolina.

Words define me....I love to speak to women's groups such as MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and at national writers' conferences.

Family defines me more. I have a great husband, four grown children and five grandchildren. As far as hobbies I love music and favor bluegrass. If prodded, I will produce a mandolin.

My secret dream was to become a lounge singer. But realizing that dream is a little late to happen, I've found great contentment writing stories to encourage and inspire women. So actually I've chosen the better path.

Fearless Generations 12 Steps to Freedom: Surrender: Introduction

    in Self Help

A new month brings a new step to Freedom and this month is bringing us a doozy: Surrender. What does surrender mean to you? We will be discussing letting go of our preconceived notions of what we thought our lives would be or should be as we embrace who we really are, surrendering to all of our uniqueness and accepting ourselves more fully. Surrendering to what is and what will be is powerful. As you fully embrace yourself and release the judgement you have towards yourself you can stand in your integrity, your heart will begin to open, and you have a chance to humble yourself to your wonderful reality. Your life is completely up to you.

The Surrender Monkeys Hour With Diane Green

    in Music

Glenn Dack is a big believer in the one-man-band.  Surrender Monkeys is Glenn Dack
Surrender Monkeys came about in 2003 because Glenn found himself without a band and couldn’t give up music, he taught himself how to play guitar and has spent the last few years churning out songs and loves writing about tragedy concerning celebrity.
In 2008 he recorded a 12 track album called "Fame in the Fast Lane" which dwelt on various true stories linked with Hollywood, fame and celebrity.
Glenn says he tends to procrastinate a great deal when recording, which often means that 10 songs can take a very long time to complete. Recently he ditched this writing model for something dirtier and quicker...
"Bikini Atoll" (named after the nuclear test island used in the 40's and 50's) is a third of the way to completion. It doesn't really have a theme in the same way that the other albums do, but it does have a concept...Can a really great song work if it's less than 2 minutes in length? “Bikini Atoll" should be finished by December 2012 and much of it can already be downloaded for free at his Soundcloud page:
