Don’t forget we now have an App for the show.  Just visit Igluradio.com and download it today.

Susan Demas, Editor and Publisher of Inside Michigan Politics and Political columnist with MLive.com shares a surprising IMP poll in the 7th CD and has more than a few words on Aramark and the Republican plan to privatize.
We’ll be Open Lines and talking about Ted Cruz, a crazy situation in the New Hampshire Legislature that is honestly just down-right rude to kids that were just doing a school project, and your calls at 855-381-8795.
Amy Hunter is back and the Planet Fitness story is NOT going away any time soon, or so it seems.  Join us for our weekly LBGTQ chat.
Justin Sutton should have the world by the tail.  His idea for the future and the way we can move people, create transit that is not just futuristic but mind-numbing exciting, and possible RIGHT NOW is being ignored right here.  Why?
State Senator Curtis Hertel checks in with an agenda the Democrats have devised that is based in reality, common sense, Progress vision and kindness, so does it have any chance of finding favor in this GOP dominated government?  We’ll talk!
Doug Cunningham, the voice and anchor of WIN News joins Tony in Detroit for the UAW delegate convention to talk about their new contract demands and what that looks like coming up VERY soon.

You are always welcome to join us on-air by calling 855-381-8795. Find us on Facebook by searching for Tony Trupiano: The Voice of the People and AUNAmerica, and on Twitter @tonytrupiano and @aunamerica.

The Spirit Alive Praise & Worship Experience: Self Help Test: Pride Part One

    in Religion

The Spirit Alive Praise & Worship Experience is a virtual church where we are standing in the gap for those who can't go, or won't go into the building by providing a safe and loving atmosphere where they can simply hear the word of God, and truly be encouraged, healed, restored, and transformed.  So, if you can't go, or won't go to a local church; the church will come to you.

Join Bishop Shirleen Cook Sundays @ 9:00 AM (PST) on Blog Talk Radio

    Call: 714-364-4337

    Message: Sef Help Test: Pride

    Text: James 4:1-12

Pride is the deadliest disease known to man. You can certainly think of selfish pride as a horrible sickness. It’s not seasonal, it not  matter of fact, it’s something you’re born with. You can’t catch it from other people, but being around other people with the same sickness can make it worse. The biggest problem with this sickness is, you don’t necessarily feel bad when you get it. Sometimes it feels really good—for a while. But if left unchecked, selfish pride will destroy everything you hold dear. It will destroy your marriage. It will destroy the relationship between children and parents. It will destroy your family. It will destroy your friendships and it will destroy the church.

In today’s passage, James asks his readers where their continual desire to fight amongst themselves comes from. And his answer is surprising. Rather than point his finger at an outward cause of their strife, he tells them it is because of each of their individual selfishness. Selfishness that is rooted in their pride.

Pets Teach Us So Much Radio 157 with Robbin and Joseph Everett

    in Pets

Award winning Director and Co-writter of the Award Winning Movie, White God, Kornel Mundruczo join's us this week.

Winner of the Prize Un Certain Regard Award at this year’s Cannes Festival, Kornel Mundruczo’s newest film is a story of the indignities visited upon animals by their supposed “human superiors,” but it’s also an brutal, beautiful metaphor for the political and cultural tensions sweeping contemporary Europe. When young Lili is forced to give up her beloved dog Hagen, because it's mixed-breed heritage is deemed 'unfit' by The State, she and the dog begin a dangerous journey back towards each other. At the same time, all the unwanted, unloved and so-called 'unfit' dogs rise up under a new leader, Hagen, the one-time housepet who has learned all too well from his 'Masters' in his journey through the streets and animal control centers how to bite the hands that beats him …

“FIERCE AND BEAUTIFUL. Extraordinarily choreographed.” – Manohla Dargis, The New York Times

"REMARKABLE AND RIVETING. This surprising movie is perhaps the most memorable of all the films I saw at this year's Cannes Film Festival. It's haunting, and quite extraordinary." - Pete Hammond, Deadline Hollywood

"Emotionally rousing and technically masterful." – Guy Lodge, Variety

“A triumphantly idiosyncratic film with smarts and visceral impact in equal measure.” – Jessica Kiang, The Playlist on Indiewire

“A potent metaphor for everything from immigration to the abuse of power, with it’s striking finale serving as stark warning about our own arrogant belief that we’ll always be at the top of the food chain.” – Alistair Harnkess, The Scotsman

We're going streaking! Aston Villa try for fourth straight win against Swansea

    in Soccer

Jack and Robert are back and we swear that we won't make any predictions. Three matches without a prediction, and three wins for Aston Villa. The latest was last weekend's 0-4 drubbing of Sunderland at the Stadium of Light that led to Gus Poyet getting fired. Nice to be on the other side of that for once.

We'll take a look at the relegation race as it stands after the weekend. With their win, Villa look much better, but Burnleytook a surprising 1-0 against Manchester City and made safety a bit harder to achieve. Jerks. We'll also be taking your questions from Twitter and Facebook.

And of course we'll glance ahead at this weekend's match against Swansea. The last before a two-week international break. Can Villa keep up their winning ways?

CUTV News Radio spotlights Toni Newman of The Innovation Advantage

    in Business

Kirkland, Quebec – There’s a difference between customer service and customer experience. When a customer’s experience exceeds their expectations, they become excited about doing business with you.

We can do things better or we can do things different, but better isn’t good enough anymore. Better keeps you in the game; different gets you ahead of the game. If you can create an innovative customer experience, you will attract more customers. The more customers you can engage, the more stories they will tell. They become your built-in marketing force.

Toni Newman is a five time award-winning business owner and the founder of The Innovation Advantage, where she specializes in helping businesses turn innovative customer experiences into a competitive advantage.

“I’ve spent the last 10 years creating a body of knowledge around innovation and customer experience. That’s where we believe the competitive advantage is today,” says Toni. “You can innovate products, processes, but your competition can copy you five minutes later. The competitive advantage is how you create innovative customer experiences that people will share, talk about and remember, so you can grow your business.”

What do the things we consider innovative have in common? According to Toni, an innovative customer experience is surprising, strategic, seductive, sustainable and simple. These 5’s represent the Innovation Advantage’s core philosophy; it’s not only their formula for success but the means by which you can evaluate if what you’re doing is innovative before you invest capital into it.

“One of the key things I talk about is being outrageously courageous. Dare to be different,” says Toni.
