CECISFM TALK RADIO "Whose Feeding the Building" features Supply Chain Diversity Public Information Officer Marlene Dial of CECI Services LP / NDAS DBE Joint Venture. We often hear of companies participating insupplier diversity programs, and the standard reasons for their participation. Some companies say that it is a testament to their commitment as a socially responsible organization while others say that it is their contribution to society. We also see some companies implementing supplier diversity initiatives to meet customer mandates, to leverage governmental initiatives, or to comply with federal supplier requirements.
The truth is, many companies that practice supplier diversity feel that they are making a sacrifice just to contribute to society, or are merely doing these non-mainstream businesses a favor. However, if they take a closer look, they will find that there are significant benefits to supplier diversity – not only for suppliers and their supply chains, but also for their business.

Today's Show is going to be great ! we have Amanda Harris CEO/Founder of Lilly Beauty Supply Store.
If your intersted in running a online store, this could be great for you.
Amanda Harris is the founder of Lily Beauty Supply, and a supply chain professional with a talent for developing creative solutions to complex problems, and building solid business relationships throughout the supply chain.
Lily Beauty Supply was inspired by the idea that black women deserve great service by knowledgeable staff, and those phenomenal women deserve to be comfortable in their own skin, as opposed to the beauty standards that have been imposed on them by the mainstream for so long. Lily is committed to redefining the standard of beauty for the black woman, and creating an atmosphere where women can get together, share hair stories and beauty tips, and uplift one another.
Lily Beauty Supply caters to customers with genuine care that no other beauty supply store offers. Lily's knowledgeable staff patiently educates customers about hair and skin care products and methods and facilitates the discovery of their natural beauty. Lily Beauty Supply carries many products to support a broad range of customer needs, and encourages customers to explore a more natural approach to beauty through health and nutrition, because real beauty starts within.
Earlier this year ThomasNet and the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) announced the winners of their first "30 Under 30 Rising Supply Chain Stars" Recognition Program, a jointly sponsored initiative to advance the future of the supply chain profession. At age 30 or younger, these outstanding professionals have made significant contributions to their organizations, professional associations and the industry at large.
Today we welcome two of these young rising stars Leah Halvorson and Wesley Whitney, along with ThomasNet's Kristin Carty to the show as we focus on “why they chose to become procurement professionals, where do they see themselves headed in terms of the future, and what has being part of the 30 Under 30 program meant to them from both a personal and career standpoint.”
By the way, and courtesy of Inbound Logistics, you can learn more about these two exceptional young professionals, as well as check out the other Top 30 Under 30 selections by clicking on their names within this program guide.
What my God should supply all your needs according to his riches and glory. Phillipians 4 19. We have to supply all our needs, but if it doesn't work without us believing, how is it that we should express our faith in the area of finance? It takes faith to give away a portion of what we have and trust that we have enough. If there were no God, and if his promise of multiplying I would give back to us was not true, it would be stupid to give. But there is a God who is true, to his promise. When we give we express that faith. People who are not giving because they do not have enough are people who don't believe. But phillipians has proof that faith through that giving. Some people have used the word Need to say they are only the bare neccessities. And the word supply came from the greek word PLEROO which means to Replenish.
B.O.B.S.A. is an organization worth noting. Given the fact that the care and styling of black women hair generate millions of dollars for those in the Hair Care business…Beauty Shops should know them. B.O.B.S.A stands for Black Own Beauty Supply Association. Their website at http://bobsa.org/ boasts that BOBSA is the premier national organization that provides African American's the platform to demonstrate competitive leadership in the $9 billion dollar Black Hair Care & Cosmetic Industry nationwide and internationally.
We have the organization's Founder, Sam Ennon with us for this show. We will discuss the Korean’s attempt to monopolize the market and how that came about. He will provide you the public and those in the business viable and lucrative alternatives that will make their clientele happy and content with your service.
We also have Entrepreneur and Managing Cosmetologist, Nicole Lee, former President of BOBSA’s Ohio Regional Chapter. Still residing in Cincinnati, the author of “Healing Cosmetologist” is an open directory to the requirements needed to excel in the world of cosmetology. Learn of her approach to creating a healing environment in Beauty Shops.
Call in at 347-237-4908 to ask Mr. Ennon or Ms. Lee questions. Get solutions to your problems. Join us for a great discussion of a very hot topic in our community.
