SORT BY Relevancy
On this episde of the Annoying Peasant Radio Show we re-enter into the debate of discrimination of a free society. Many, including Brad are very uncomfortable (to say the least) with the ability to discriminate. Tom will attempt to make the case for discrimination (somewhat in the style of Walter Block's "Defending the Undefendable").
We welcome all to join in on the discussion. I am sure there will be a lively debate. The dissenting side will likely not have prepared through research. We shall educate!

Each and every week the MadMen discuss the news stories that bring to light the social ills that plague us. This week we talk about who to put a case on in regards to Biggie being denied a street named after him. Local officials say it is because of his misogynist lyrics and crime record (and the fact that he is fat). Was their decisio
Are those Anti-discrimination Laws Unconstitutional? In a free society, any person or persons has the right to associate with any other person or persons willing to associate with him/her. And likewise, any person or persons has the right not to associate with any other person or persons for any reason. From the Archives, "In 1964 Congress passed Public Law 88-352 (78 Stat. 241). The provisions of this civil rights act forbade discrimination on the basis of sex as well as race in hiring, promoting, and firing. The word "sex" was added at the last moment. According to the West Encyclopedia of American Law," Did the government achieve it's goal? I don't think so, after almost 50 years a half century we still have discrimination running ramped in our country.

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately? There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective. Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting. But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree! If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
Today's Topic: Do you feel that affirmative action gives the minority class an opportunity at fairness or that it is simply reverse discrimination and it restricts other class of people to fairness?

This week we take a closer look at this struggle. We appear to be loosing ground - we seem to be going backwards. The culprits are, and have always been: lack of unity; distrust of one another; misplaced economics; and an under-valuation of self-worth, among other things.
Recently, here in New York City, there was a couple of highlighted "racial profiling cases" involving black shoppers. Of course racial profiling is wrong but also this warrants a self-assessment. Why do I buy?
