This is an introduction of the Strong Heart Warrior Society. Identity is of the original Dog Solider Society of the Lakota Nation - the oldest of its kind. Many societies claim to be for their people, but few proved themselves and remain worthy of their people's trust. The Strong Heart Warrior Society will remain. We are past, present, and forever. This brief mission statement gives credence to our traditional concepts. This society is alcohol-free and drug-free. As a society with its own values, we are here. We are forever.
J ROWDY WILL INTERVIEW JAMES CANNON NICK CANNONs FATHER
As trans* and gender queer people we often become so focused on our social, mental and physical transitions that they grow to be larger than life. So much so that we forget that a transition is just another word for a shift. A shift in thinking, a shift in geography, a shift in expectations, a shift in marital status or family size. They all affect us as human beings and they are yet another layer to our complex lives as trans*, gender queer, and queer people. And when we forget, it makes it that much easier for people outside our community to see us as just the sum of our surgeries.
Tonight's guest will be Nicholas Durand. Nicholas is 27 years old, and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in early 2013. A gay trans man living in Virginia, he is now the facilitator of DCATS and is an advocate for both LGBTQ+ and disability rights.

Today's show will be about the freedom of pure perception, as taught by the famous teacher J. Krishnamurti.
For the past 10 years, Richard Waxberg has created and facilitated in-depth exploratory immersive retreats based on J.Krishnamurti’s teachings for the Krishnamurti Foundation of America in Ojai, California. He, along with Deborah Kerner, has created a new 7-Day week-long intensive program for the KFA, Explorations into Freedom, which takes place in Ojai, California, in November.
The work of this Intensive Program is to help to birth a new mind that is entirely clear, capable of ‘seeing’ and ‘listening’ to a depth that can release a million years of unexamined conditioned thinking, a mind that can probe and explore whatever is arising inwardly or outwardly with total freedom, a mind free from fear.
Richard taught art and design at Parsons School of Design in New York City for over 20 years. He taught at the Rishi Valley School, a Krishnamurti school in India. As part of his spiritual journey, Richard participated in Native American shamanic spiritual practices with traditional elders from several Native American tribes, before discovering the profound insights of Krishnamurti. Richard is an active writer and artist.
As we enter the last two months of 2014, we want to focus on finishing this year strong. It's time to review those goals and see where you are and how you can get to the fulfillment of them. Join your host, Unitha Muhammad as she discusses this with you!

Patti J. Smith starts our show off & Claudette Sutton joins in mid-way through the show. Here is a little bit on each:
Patti J. Smith:was born in Wimpole Park, England. She lived in England and Morocco as well as several state-side Air Force Bases and considers her father's last assignment, Moses Lake, Washington, her hometown. She audited for the Dept. of Labor and Veteran's Administration Offices of Inspector General, served in the U.S. Army Reserve (Transit Control Unit and Criminal Investigation Division) and recently retired as a background investigator.
Patti lives in Vista, CA with her husband and has three granddaughters. She serves as a Regional Coordinator for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, Co-leads Rachel's Hope After-Abortion Healing Retreats and sings in her parish choir.
Her writing includes devotionals, light romance and suspense, and her strong faith is reflected in each genre.
Claudette Sutton:Family has always been a major focus of Claudette Sutton's writing. She is the editor and publisher of Tumbleweeds, an award-winning quarterly newspaper for families, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her work has appeared in local and national publications and online. For five years she wrote the popular "Family Cafe" column for the Santa Fe New Mexican. So her new memoir, "FAREWELL, ALEPPO: My Father, My People, and Their Long Journey Home," the story of her father and the close-knit community of Syrian Jews that her family came from, was an extension of that interest. In part a labor of love, the book is as well as a tribute to Aleppo, Syria's intriguing Jewish community, whose history extends back thousands of years but which has now left Syria and relocated in cities around the world. Claudette and her husband live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and have one son.
Karen Lange homeschooled her two sons and daughter in grades K-12. During that time, they were active in homeschool co-ops, and Karen served as support group leader, Unschoolers Network curriculum consultant, and co-op coordinator.
Now that her children have graduated, Karen works as a freelance writer and copyeditor, blogger, and online writing instructor for adults. She continues working with homeschoolers, teaching teen writing classes at the Homeschool Online Creative Writing Co-op: http://www.homeschoolwritingco-op.bravesites.com/
Susan J. Reinhardt started off as a non-fiction writer. Her publishing credits include: LIVE!, Vista, The RevWriter Resource, The Secret Place, and numerous other periodicals and anthologies.
She changed gears and began writing fiction after an experience in Gettysburg. Surrounded by history, she *heard* the voices of the forefathers as fading echoes. Attempts to write a poem or non-fiction piece were unsuccessful, so she put the thoughts aside and prayed.
Eight months later, Susan and her late husband were discussing that event when he declared, "That's it! That's your book, and it will be written in 4 months and be called Ghosts of the Past."
The first draft was written in 4 months and underwent a name change to Echoes of the Past. Later, it became The Moses Conspiracy. Now, after 2 years of caring for her husband through cancer until his death and 6 years of honing her fiction skills, The Moses Conspiracy has been published.
A widow, stepmom, daughter, and follower of Jesus Christ, Susan enjoys reading, couponing, gardening, family time, and searching for small treasures in antique shops.
