R.N. The author of Taming the Telomeres

    in Blogs

The “R” in “R.N.” stands for Rick. Rick Shapiro is an author, prolific law blogger, inventor (holding 18 U.S. patents and various international patents), and also a practicing trial attorney.

The author of Taming the Telomeres researched “Taming” for nearly 3 years before completing the fiction thriller manuscript, and drew from his experiences as a trial attorney, and as a Capitol Hill staff assistant before law school. Rick resided in the Washington, DC area during college and law school, and explored Middleburg, Virginia, Georgetown, and several of the geographical areas that appear in Taming the Telomeres.

He also authored a popular non-fiction social commentary novel titled “Faceplant: Chronicles of Facebook’s True Tales & Epic Fails” which was published by Outskirts Press.

As an inventor, he has invented and designed a number of folding, compact consumer products, including folding wagons, baby jogging strollers and the like. In connection with inventing and designing, Rick has travelled to Europe, Japan, Taiwan and China. He licensed a folding wagon patent to Radio Flyer, and is currently designing folding baby stroller products with Big Max, a European sporting goods company.

Dog Stroller Destroys a Date, or, "Sixteen Wheel Stupidity"

    in Entertainment

Tonight, on a beltway blocking edition of the Never Daunted Radio Network, we kick off a brand new weekend with a recounting of your humble host's first date in nearly a year, and how it crashed and burned...with the sight of not one, but two dog strollers...that's right, dog strollers. Next, it's a convoy of stupidity, as truck drivers plan clog the inner loop of the Washington, D.C., beltway beginning on the morning of Oct. 11, as part of a "Truckers Ride for the Constitution" rally, which seeks the arrest of congressmen for allegedly disregarding the Constitution...by ruining the commute of thousands of people who don't work in Congress. Later, with a good amount of its staff furloughed due to the pointless partial shutdown, the Transportation Security Agency was seemingly unable to catch a nine-year-old boy who managed to board a flight to Las Vegas...without a ticket. We'll see how this con man in the making was able to fool everyone, and make the TSA look like even bigger fools. And finally, on tonight's Cremo Cream Essentials, we take a trip back to 1985 and feature one of the most seminal albums and groups of the New Wave Era, Tears For Fears' Songs From The Big Chair.
All that and more, tonight on the Never Daunted Radio Network!
