Cam's Corner - The Story of a Young Stroke Survivor

    in Education

Ray is a young stroke survivor.  It has been found that he was suffering from a rare condition called thoracic outlet syndrome or TOS for short. This caused an aneurysm to form in his subclavian artery.  TOS sent him through a round of surgeries and stays in the hospital.  Doctors started going over all his brain scans and investigating and found by comparing brain scans done before that he had suffered a stroke sometime around August of 2011.  He recovered.  then one morning with a horrible headache that would not go away, it was also accompanied by nausea and uncontrollable vomiting. He stayed home but on the 2nd day the pain was so unbearable and that he decided to call the doctor and was told to get to the ER. He went and the last thing he remembered was a voice saying, “you have significant bleeding in your brain and we are not equipped to handle this.”   He was having a hemorrhagic stroke. They had to do an emergency craniotomy to drain the blood from his brain.

This show is about stroke and brain injury and is for anyone interested in stroke with bits and pieces thrown in for inspiration, ways to be healthy, less stressed and more.  I want to be here to share and to lift up other stroke survivors or warriors.  I want to help you find out there are others going through what you have gone though.  Maybe not the same journey but a survivor none the less.  To give positive information, inspire and embrace what you have and continue moving forward.

20 Life Skills Not Taught In School

    in Entertainment

http://Successful Student A resource for students to excel.

    From http://successfulstudent.org/

The following is an excerpt from: Successful Student

An education should involve learning life skills that a person will carry with them after college in order to navigate relationships and careers and be a well-rounded, successful person. This article has compiled 20 life skills not taught in school, which are valuable in life in general. Though high school and college is excellent in teaching many valuable skills, our current academic curriculum doesn’t teach many aspects necessary to succeeding and thriving in life in general, such as financial responsibilities and investments, how to think logically–retaining information and not merely temporarily memorizing information, and how to apply such abilities to real-world scenarios which are bound to occur.

Shapeshifting Energy - Using Animal Skills

    in Spirituality

Join Sue Graywolf, Sharon Rainbow Eagle Bar - Or and Jim Graywolf for a powerful show on Ciracle Radio on Wednesday, May 13th at 1 PM MST, 3 PM EST, 8 PM London and 10 PM Israel time.

The animals walked the Earth before us and are more in tune with the Earth’s energies and changes. Shapeshifting is a tradition in many indigenous cultures. Not physically becoming an animal, but connecting with them so that your energy is one. This is powerful spiritual ‘medicine’. We will talk about the ways you can experience and learn these techniques. But connecting with the animals goes way beyond this.

In these days of planet shift, climate change, fear about the future and instability in all institutions, it is a great time to learn to watch, ‘hear’ and understand all creatures. They can help guide us through the changes we need.

In fifty short years scientists predict that half the animals alive will be dead due to the mistreatment of our planet by we humans. Not species - creatures. As we now begin to act we can gauge the effectiveness by the behavior and health of our fellow creatures. Using old shapeshifting skills and modern science we have another tool to help us heal.

Bring your ideas, thoughts and comments as always. The talking stick is now YOURS! Hit the link below just before show time to join in.

We invite listeners to come and participate in the discussion and the sharing of knowledge. And we thank all our listeners for truly “being” the shows we air. Join us!
