You’re starting to look for new space for yourself or a tenant. Is this the time to consider relocating, sometime during the new lease term? You bet, or so says Allen Buchanan. It’s part of your initial lease strategy to anticipate changes, including business growth or contraction. Are there lease provisions that can help ease the pain, should the need arise? But what happens when a tenant encounters unanticipated issues and needs or wants to make a move before the lease ends? What does the tenant do if it can’t move? How do you create 25,000 square feet of space out of a 20,000 square foot footprint? Hint, it’s not just about building a mezzanine or building out. Allen doesn’t just move dirt or tenants, he helps them figure out the best solutions. Listen in as Allen Buchanan, Simon Walker and I discuss the options and issues and how best to handle them from both the tenant and broker side.

When we move, relocate, or even when we go on vacation - a new chart - called a relocation chart becomes active in our lives.
Combined with the natal chart - a relocation chart tells us how we will be effected by a new location.
Likewise, we can guide the experiences of our lives by picking a place to live or visit.
If you live in a place that is different than the place where you were born, you are living a relocated chart experience.
Call in tonight and find out how! There will be live mini-readings.
Time management is always a hot topic in the business community, especially at this time of year as we head deeper into the 4 quarter. I had the pleasure of presenting time management strategies at PetPAC, an association for pet-related business owners, last week and next week I will be presenting the same talk to the East Bethel Chamber of Commerce. (P.S. – if you know any groups who would be interested in this topic, please pass my info on. I would be happy to share with others.)
At any rate, I figured it was a good time to start talking about strategic planning. That’s really what time management comes down to anyway – knowing where you want to go and having a plan to get there.
The standard formula for strategic planning is Vision, Goals, Focus, Action (have you noticed my logo???). These are simple, practical, and proven principles that work for anything you’re working on.
We’ll start by digging in to Vision. What it means and how you can figure out what yours is. Monday Morning Movation™ was created to encourage business owners through motivation and inspiration by delivering a postive message to get your week started off right. Each week we focus on a different topic that will help you achieve the level of success you desire. Each topic provides a positive message with specific action steps in a straight-forward manner that is easy to understand and apply. Print your Action Worksheet before the show.

Please join Steven N. Peskind as he interviews Philip Stahl, Ph. D., a nationally recognized authority on the topic of the psychology of relocation. His book titled "Forensic Psychology Consultation in Child Custody Litigation: A Handbook for Work Product Review, Case Preparation, and Expert Testimony" with co-author Robert A. Simon, PhD. is available to the ABA web store. Click here if you would like to purchase.
